- Barun Sobti reflects on his new series Kohrra on Netflix, understanding the rough and gentle characters, key learnings from Indian television and 12 years of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.
Barun Sobti is an Indian actor, noted for his performances in Hindi television, movies and web series. He has won various awards for his performance as Nikhil Nair in Asur including the Best Supporting Actor at the 25th Asian Television Awards. He also worked in critically acclaimed films like Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2017), Halahal (2020) and 200 Halla Ho (2021).
Sobti began his acting career in 2009 with the Star Plus show Shraddha and later appeared in a negative role in Dill Mill Gayye on Star One. He then worked in Sony Entertainment Television's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai (2010). In 2011, Sobti rose to fame by playing Arnav Singh Raizada in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. He made his film debut with the romantic comedy film Main Aur Mr Riight (2014). Sobti also starred in the Disney+ Hotstar series Tanhaiyan (2017), ALT Balaji series The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family (2018) and crime thriller series Asur.
Kohrra is created by Gunjit Chopra, Sudip Sharma, Diggi Sisodia and Randeep Jha. It revolves around a murdered NRI just before his wedding in the countryside of Punjab. As the investigation unfolds, a world of deceit, secrets and the dramas of dysfunctional families are revealed. Also stars Harleen Sethi, Suvinder Vicky, Manish Chaudhari and Rachel Shelley in notable roles. Backed by Karnesh Sharma's Clean Slate Filmz.

I’m still watching IPKKND till date. I loved him as ASR. He suits the best in that character. But I like him as a person/man he is and how he’s a family man. He’s still with the same girl from when he was only 15 and now they have 2 beautiful children. That shows reliability, loyalty, and more importantly, one woman man.

Some say that Barun is much more than ipkknd and Arnav.The day Barun don't mention ipkknd and Sanaya and things related to it in his interviews, he is beyond this show. but unfortunately for haters of this serial and fortunately for the fans of this series, Barun always mentioned about ipkknd ,exactly in every interview whether written or video.
Barun never talks about ipkknd and sanaya himself he only speaks when interviewer asks him and yes HE IS MUCH MUCH MORE than ipkknd, he has proved it already and the people has accepted it but some people like you can't digest it....... it's okay, some people are just dim-witted we understand 😁

AGAIN Barun NEVER talks about ipkknd himself in any interview. People recognise him as Arnav because majority of people have seen him as Arnav only and he made Arnav so impactful. It happens with many actors specially those who have started from tv industry even Bollywood actors are sometimes known for the specific characters they played at a point, Likewise Arnav was just a character written on paper he made him alive and memorable with his exceptional performance because he is an excellent actor that's why people love him as Arnav , his fans still post about ipkknd and Arnav on their pages because they still see and love him as Arnav it's sweet and cute, he earned this love, but his true fans also look forward to his new projects and praise him for his work like me....go and see his insta page if you are not blind😏😏😏. The interviews and articles you are talking about deliberately forcefully talk about ipkknd because they want to attract the attention of the fans of this show, they do all this for the views and it is very clear, But there are many interviews of him that talk about his recent work and personal life but obviously you haven't seen them how could you.
