    I loved how he explained his time with the Gang. He didn't glorify it but he did not deny that he was a part of it. Jim has grown a lot. Still want to hear him rap and do his thing with Dip Set though.

    I can remember when Dipset released Diplomatic Immunity, all of the kids wanted to be Bloods. They wanted to be like you, Jim Jones. I have never seen you use your platform to influence kids to stay in school. Not 1 line speaking against gang violence. You are talented however, you contribute to the backwardness of our black youth. Going to prison is held higher than going to college. @4:56 "They had no guidance" Since you are aware of what caused Bobby Shmurda's downfall, why not do something so we don't have more Bobby Shmurda's ruining their life?? Tell the youth that gang life is nonsense. Tell them the importance of education and hard work. They need to her it from YOU, Jim Jones.

    • @CK-ky6ky
      @CK-ky6ky 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      School created and then exiled these individuals you speak against. Don't promote education unless you ready to discuss it's replacement. Public school promote submission just like gangs promote ignorance. Double swords.

      @@CK-ky6ky 🤣🤣🤣 oh my god yea right. "Created then exiled" you mean "were an absolute terror, endangered other students and teachers, and were rightfully expelled?" How hard is it to succeed in public school. You go there, sit in class, dont be a fucking idiot and graduate. I tried as little as possible and got a 3.0. These kids dont want to work hard and live the right way. They want fast money because they idolize drug dealers and rappers. Its not cool to live the right way. Rappers will always say, "im teaching the kids there's a better way. Im just reporting what i see." Theyll never admit that at its heart, rap does nothing but glorify that life and yes it does influence young black kids, heavily

    No diss but do people remember when the movie when Thicker than Water came out? With Mack 10 and Fat Joe. THTS when I believe THTS when they started it. I'm from St.Louis Westside and if you watch gangland and you watch the episode you see what probably was one of the hardest Crip sets outside of The Westcoast.. Not bragging but it was true. I like to see that grown men do grow up. Stop the Violence. Please

      Basically what Dwayne said...The Blood wave started back in like 92' right before the UBN moved from being strictly a jail thing to the streets. A OG from Fruit Town Brim named No Good got bagged in Essex County for a murder and in jail started to breed the Brim Gang, and now you have a bunch of BCB "Brick City Brims" in Newark. A short while after that some OGs from Queen St Bloods in Cali was in Jersey and linked up with some gangs around East Orange and created a set called the "Double I's"...The UBN is a different story it started out as a jail gang and for the most part its going back to that. While Bloods still outnumber gangs in the NYC/NJ area they not that flashy with it like how they were a couple of years ago.

I left in 2000. Real talk cali niggas really did not respect NY niggas because they ain't do it official My hood east Flatbush was crips and it baffle me how NY change and started repping cali hoods. Make no sense but it is what it is.

    speaking from someone that can relate to the gangbanging lifestyle, a lot of rappers glorify it when it's not a game, Chicago and California it's definitely a way of life, snoop and Pac both say we live by the gun so we die by the gun. so it's not anything to play with also mc eight and tray see also spoke on it, but I will give Jimmy a little respect for borrowing the concept and applying it to the Harlem street's. in other words if you really come from the streets and no what it's like to live a hard life, and you create a movement that no only protects you but you're family and love one's also then you have my respect, just like treach from NJ he went to California grabbed an OG and starred his own set but had the OG give the codes of conduct so mucho respect to treach also. real recognize real period.
