Another option with rotating a piece: - click rotate icon - use arrow to select x, y or z plane - with rotate tool locked to plane click a pivot point - use arrow to select a fixed plane direction you want to start pivoting from - click the side of the work area you want to start pivoting from - use same arrow to lock for 180 degrees or other arrows to lock for 90 degrees - type degree number for other degrees - this method ensures pivoting on one plane and eleviates the chance of tiny errors.
Relevant as I was working with some off axis geometry last night and trying to get it to align. Somewhere there is some more detailed information on how the axis work in a global vs local sense, what happens when setting/resetting etc. Maybe you or someone else has done a video on this. If not maybe do one.

Is there a way to quickly select all faces that are pointed in the same direction, but aren't on the same plane? For more info, I'm making a cityscape scene, and need to adjust multiple roofs at once. They're all facing up, but at various heights. Is there a way to select them all without also grabbing walls and other faces on other axis?
another quick tip if you move an object and wanna place it let's say in a specific point of another object you can move it along an axe (when you lock it via arrow key) then select the point you want your object in and click again on the arrow key you clicked befor and it will move there

2 notes come to mind: It's worth noting that you can have a distinct and separate axis INSIDE a component or group so you can easily go inside or outside of that component/group to quickly use different axis without changing them every time manually. I believe also there is a way to change the inference angle from a standard to a custom angle axis without redoing the axis itself when moving along the axis by maybe grabbing at the corner or maybe by pressing the control key I may not be that key. The SKP channel did some great tutorials on these topics and tests within the last few months to cover all the variations that even I didn't know a bunch of them. and for these kinds of videos - to Justin, you may want to have something that shows your keyboard/mouse presses in the video to make it more clear on exactly what and when you are pressing something.
