through no fault of their own, these speakers sound horrible it's horrible because there's no music coming through them . What is being played is not music. It's a bunch of electronic sounds. No human beings playing instruments! Hardly anyone singing! No one's singing without some stupid effects! You can only judge these speakers by how they reproduce electronic sounds because these sound samples everyone's doing!! I've heard live concerts through these And they sound great. John Mellencamp, Anita Baker, Yanni, GOO Goo Dolls, Motown ETC….. with these sound samples you might as well be listening to radar, Or a neon sign, Or the hum of a refrigerator. Those are much more interesting!!
so you're expecting a high quality concert experience from a couple hundred dollar Bluetooth speaker? I'd look into the mirror and ask that guy the same question

Then the problem is within your imagination and not the speakers it self.
