When you told Alexa to start a timer, my Alexa started one! Also, maybe think about cutting a bit off each end of the roll/baguette so the entire thing fits in the press? I think it might close better then, giving you a better end product. Looks yummy!
Thank you. Appreciated. I was wondering if my son and I would use one of these often enough to be worth buying. The short lead is too impractical. Then having to hold down the lid for the panini. Add to that the lack of a channel for liquid to escape, which you pointed out. Perhaps a traditional toasted sandwich maker would be best for us, but not if it has a very short lead.

Removable plates was the big thing I hate having to dry wash one without removable plates!
