Mariah Ramos: 4 years later, I´ve read your comment, and it makes me think. People dream with beauty, we are attracted to it like moths to the light. Nowadays, with the possibilities of technology, we can open the computer and find a singer, or actor we like, and see his (or her) image over and over, until we learn by heart his face, his gestures…(poor artists, no wonder they can´t go outside, remember Elvis). Besides, if a singer, or an actor is successful, beauty and success are the perfect combination to fall in love with his image (not with him, of course, even if we don´t realize it). And it also makes me think that we are surrounded by people, some of which are, perhaps not so rich, but beautiful people, physically maybe, but sure, beautiful inside. Why don´t we look at them? We can make friends with them, or even have a partner, or even marry him (or her).Better: why don´t become ourselves this beautiful sexy man or woman? Il only life would allow it…! It is good to like an actor, or a singer, but only like, not love, I think. If only we could love real people…Again, if only life would allow it, if only life wouldn´t treat us so badly…Well, I think I´m going to get lost in my thoughts if I go on writing. There is a French beautiful song called “Fanny Ardant et moi”. We could say “Colin Morgan and us”.?
@@mrosag1405 We have to choose a partner from people around us .. from those not so beautiful people .. Some get lucky , they find both good looking and genuinely nice person ... Most have to settle for the best they could get .. okay looking guy or girl .. they are decent people - inwardly beautiful and all .. Well most are .. There are comparatively less bad partners .. Most try to be good in order to make the relationship work anyway ... But the thing is - we are forced to choose from those ordinary looking people ... It's either that or stay alone all life .. Not many want that either ... So we are forced to pick up the best we could get .. it's far from what we would have chosen if we could have gotten whoever we want ... But we choose someone anyway ...And over the period of time, most people come to love their partner .. you share your life with someone for a long period of time , experience happiness and troubles together ; eventually you get attached to that person .... We call it love , may be it is .. May be after a while it gets easier to adjust with one person , so you don't really want to think about living with someone else .. But there's a compulsion about having to choose someone .. and it's not a pleasant feeling .. It's like - I can't get what I really want so I will have to choose from this lot and make do with it .. This is the best I can get ... That's not a nice feeling at all .. But most people learn to live with it or find a way to suppress it .. Who wants to feel like this ? So they will tell themselves they are satisfied and all the tales of inner beauty ... I'm wondering , what a person telling about inner beauty would do if their celebrity crush agrees to have a secret relationship with them ( assuming the said person is already married to person with inner beauty but not so much outward beauty ) What you said about being friends or romantic partner with a person of inside beauty ; we have to do it anyway .. unless we find someone we are attracted to .. That's not anyone's first choice .. it is done because there's no other choice ... So obviously people want to wait a little while .. They want to make things work with someone they find attractive ... Because it's either you marry someone you find attractive or marry someone and then convince yourself to find him / her attractive ... Lifetime deal it is ... So we tend to draw towards the best looking thing in the shop and only after realizing we can't afford it we settle for something affordable .
lol, that made me laugh the first time I saw it. I think Pox is a rude, Irish slang word, that's been adapted. When I look it up Pox either has definitions of 1. Disease or 2. Syphilis. Pox-ridden has also been used as an insult to mean ugly, but I couldn't find Pox as an insult.
