@@UniMyra Three things: How often did you ride per session when learning? How long to be proficient enough to ride those trails? And where are those trails? Thanks.
@@millerman692 I practiced for 1.5 hours every day in the beginning, and after 8 days (I only know because I have a video) I could ride. My initial goal was to ride a 36'er, so I didn't get into off-road riding (muni/mountain unicycling) until a couple of years later. If you can find a fairly, flat not too rooty/rocky trail, going off road isn't that hard. After 2 years of muni, I was doing pretty good (the muni season in Norway is usually 6 months). This is the area I'm riding in most of my muni videos: www.google.no/maps/place/Brannt%C3%A5rnet+Gr%C3%B8nli%C3%A5sen/@59.8194262,10.8223296,15.35z/data=!4m8!1m2!2m1!1zZ3LDuG5sacOlc2Vu!3m4!1s0x0:0x7a6f41ed36a228d8!8m2!3d59.8172817!4d10.8247492?hl=no
@@UniMyra Thanks. I thought that I am in good shape from mountain biking, but my legs get tired on my 24" uni. I have tried a total of 2 hours and I can't ride maybe 1,000 meters or so, but not smooth, very choppy riding with arms flailing. I have a long way to go.
I'm a fan! I've been thinking about picking up one of these ,I definitely think I will .I've been mountain unicycling for 10 plus years on nimbus frame with 26x2.75 duro tire with magura hs33 rim breaks. This thing looks like right up my alley . Great video !
Thanks. I alternate between the Hatchet and a regular muni. The Hatchet is not as nimble and has got more rolling resistance than a regular muni, but it's super fun. It's very bouncy and rolls over "everything". I asked about it on the unicyclist forum before I bought it, and got some very good advice: www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119259
Kul video! Det ser ut som det er greit med feite hjul på blåstier for å takle røtter og steiner 👍
Just learning how to ride at 56 with goal of riding trails just like this; you're an inspiration.
Thanks! Stick with it!
