arya kangod, yeah it makes me want to puke. everyone seems to argue the same things: "what about men, they can wear what they want!", "women wear short skirts because they LIKE it or because they WANT to", "they're not hurting anyone, so what's the problem?"... the dishonesty from the progressives is insane. they seem to be arguing that the sexualisation of women is a societal thing and not innate in us humans. the fact is, women have a duty to cloth themselves in a smart manner, and men have a duty to keep that rule, otherwise the moral fabric of society falls flat; you have no order or structure.

Being a woman, I completely agree with his points. Freedom is wearing what you like and not prove someone something. Women wearing skimpy outfit in cold whether definitely try making some point irrespective how uncomfortable she is in that outfit. Well,
It's a very tricky question to ask to a woman.
I was in love with someone and at some point of time he was my fiance.
But just because I always dress simple, he use to adore other women in shorts, and use to say how hot and sexy they are, and why can't I dress like them.
At some point of time it was very hurtful, and I tried to go out of my way to get his attention because he was important to me.
I tried and I failed because I just can't be comfortable in really short clothes.
And always listening him praising other women was heartbreaking as well.
Long story short, maybe to keep man around and not having them looking at other women... many women just do it once and then over and over again.
Otherwise there will be fights, insecurities, cheating, resentment and what not.
Otherwise breakup..just like it happened in my case.
So, it's not even a matter of discussion.
It's a matter of shame that no matter what we do, people and society just have negative remarks.

I can only speak for myself. I don't just dress for myself. Of course, I take care of my comfort but I always consider how other people will perceive me. If I would have just cared about my comfort I would go out in my boxer and vest. I don't look at myself in the mirror before going to the bathroom, but I look at myself in the mirror before going out. Because there are people when I go outside and I don't want to look bad. Moreover, the basic function of a mirror is to let us know how we are looked at by others. If comfort was the only criteria, people would go to a marriage in lungi and vest. Secondly, When people say, we dress to feel confident. We have to look deeper and see how a piece of fabric can enhance our confidence. The only probable reason is that we look good in the dress. But to whom? As far as I have seen people around me in society, they don't go around looking at themselves on the road or at a party. It is other people that we look at. And it is other people that look at us. Hence this confidence is derived from looking good in the eyes of others. Hence, these two arguments that we dress just for comfort and confidence are the purest of pure bullshit arguments in my opinion. My advice would be to run as fast as you can when you hear these two arguments because they will bring you down to their level of stupidity and defeat you with their expertise in stupidity.

I would only speak for myself. wearing dresses and pants (short or long) I feel beautiful when I look at myself wearing them in the mirror. I know my beauty comes from within. but that doesn't mean that I don't want to look good for myself. I also feel confident and firm. wearing clothes that I like are one way of expressing myself and feeling all those things. one may say that there are others ways to feel so and express myself. but I say that here lies my freedom of choosing when I am choosing at what moment I'll choose which source or form to feel beautiful and confident.

I can't feel comfortable when I wear very tight clothes. That's why I wear loose clothes. Loose t-shirts with shorts n skirts. I wear clothes bcz I feel comfortable in that. That's it. No one has any rights or permission to say me anything about my comfort n personal choice.

The fact is, even women wear short dress because of this animal instinct of attracting mates and that is also why men bulk up.
As a human being with this huge cerebral cortex, we are different than other animals and can't use our animal instinct to harm other humans. When women wear nothing because of animal instinct, they are not harming somebody and neither do men when they oogle at them due to animal instinct. But if they let their animal instinct to overcome them and harm that women, it's wrong.

So one day I was hanging out with my male best friend, and all of a sudden he told me that I should know the usage of dupattas(because I was not wearing one). The nonsense part is we live in India and claim ourself of a culture where women should should wear full clothes. It's for those who want to rise above such superficiality. For understanding this video there is a prerequisite of being utmost honest with oneself. The scenario Acharya ji is describing applies for both sexes. It's just that females are more active than men in doing so. Look at the what we have done to this planet. It's cannot bear a single more child. Still people are so badly and seriously concerned about their futile lives that they don't really care about the coming baby. Where is he going to live, eat, drink? Will peace be available the way it was earlier before industrial development? Don't mind but you are being dishonest with yourself. That's all I can see. If you are not bored with these things of gaining attention and gossips and makeup and what not, then this video is not for you. This man won't care for how you feel. The basic requirement of utmost honesty has to be there to understand him. Else you are free. He is not criticizing women for wearing what they wear.
Also ask the question everytime you wear something that are you wearing it for physical comfort or for....you better what I mean. I am a mom of 2 years old Son & I am the only person in my area who wears jeans Western dress & tops.. they are not very revealing dresses.. I am living in Model town.. but except me no one wears like me in public in my area.. whatever I wear is very common in kolkata among my friend circle and my area too.. except me 2 ladies are walking in park as physical exercise wearing dupatta salwar kameez cover up their whole head. Seriously speaking I am not feeling very safe here.. they have very abnormal seducing thinking I think.. So I searched about it. I love my family so much, my husband my son...
