Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with this. I used to be on OKCupid, and now I'm off of it because I realized I was not yet "over" all the relationship drama I experienced 1-2 years ago. ANyway, I did disclose on my profile that I was trans, because I REALLY did NOTTTTT want to deal with having to disclose it in person after having met someone, and I did NOT want to waste time meeting up with someone who might not be willing to date a transman. I did date a straight woman I met via OKcupid, and she was really wonderful and we had great chemistry. She seemed fine with me being trans, as far as I could tell. But one thing I learned from that experience was that I think from now on I only want to date bisexual women. This is because I want to be with someone who can enthusiastically embrace my male aspects as well as my more female aspects, since I'm not "stone" or whatever and want someone who likes what I've got down there and will not just tolerate but will really embrace it (ha). With that in mind, when I go back to OKCupid in the future, I will mention my trans status at the top rather than the bottom of my profile, and state that I'm looking for a bisexual/queer woman.
+TheSLOfox Thanks for your thoughts. That's pretty much the same reason I decided to go back to being open on my profile. I am open to dating bisexual/queer women, but I do have some hesitation. I guess I just worry we'll end up in a situation (like my previous partner) where they embrace my female part a little too well. I don't connect well with that part of myself and I don't want to be seen as being the "best of both worlds" if that makes any sense. I guess the point will be fairly moot in the near future after I have phalloplasty. For right now, my search parameters include straight, bi, and pansexual women.
