People are missing out on their dynamic and the foundation to their relationship, then shitting on these two. What do you think? Should I? LOL

I've seen lots of hate thrown at Asuna for being 'weak' (blame A1 for cutting down her bad-ass scenes), or that their relationship is too vanilla or boring. It's good that you haven't see the discourse on this (please stay clear of it lol it's distressing), but it doesn't mean it's not around. I've seen a fair share myself on Twitter, reddit and especially amidst TH-cam comments. Even though SAO haters have been showing great disapproval towards these two, believe it or not, those within the fandom (who prefer Kirito with another girl) do shit on Asuna and said the very things I listed above. As Asuna is someone I hold dear to heart, it pains me to see such hate directed at her. Too bad people can't be respectful when it comes to 'ships' :(
Ordinal Scale actually solidifies Kirito and Asuna relationship. They get married in life as well as in game. Anything else is just comedic at this point.
To be honest there's not much harem in sao to begin with, kirito asuna relationship already set in stone since like half way in s1, and the other girls only have their moment when they first introduce and meet kirito, but after that they never really tried to compete with asuna, so to me it's already a full blown romance anime since s1

I think it's okay, because in season 1 asuna said she would kill herself if he doesn't come back, I thought that the love they formed in aincrad was for appealing to their humanity instead of thinking in what was happening, but in the end seems good.
DizzzY Kawahara Reki (the author of Ligh Novels) has invested a lot of time and effort in building the dynamic between Asuna and Kirito. He himself is rooting for these two more than anyone else tbh. I doubt he'd throw everything way and settle for someone else- that'd go against his belief that Kirito and Asuna's relationship is his depiction of true love. Besides, that'd cause a great damage on the story too. Trust me, in the Light Novels, it's as clear as the day how much Asuna means to Kirito. It's unfortunate that A1 amps up the harem and cuts off important keyscenes between them (oh boy, they cut off A LOT especially those that showcase the strength of their love). Though if A1 were to change anything vital (like making another girl does something Asuna clearly did in the novels aka replacing her), I'm sure Kawahara would've thrown hands lmao. So as long as you put trust in the author, don't worry, Alice would never stand a chance :)

From the first moment I watched Sword Art Online when it first came out I fell in love with Asuna and Kirito I have never loved an anime couple or Manga couple as much as I love these two their love is eternal Kirito and Asuna forever
This show may not be perfect, but it will always be my favorite. This moment where they take all their experiences together and turn it into living as a truly good king and queen for 200+ years is so fitting for them.

You know its heart vreaking he gets down on his knees defeated by the fact that hes always fighting again and again and cant get no relief. With asuna yuki there it was a heart felt relief he could finally be at peace....somewhat. Still, this anime's arc was super cry bucket as every episode was an emotional rollercoaster ride.
This made my heart absolutely so happy. Like I get chills watching this show. Asuna and Kirito have a relationship I absolutely admire. It’s so weird to explain but I just adore this show with all my soul and that just seems hard to explain. My two favorite fictional relation are these two and then Tidus and Yuna from Final Fantasy X. Goals for sure!

Then when he wakes up and saves the say he immediately comes face to face with the harsh truth of not seeing any of his friends for the next 200 years. There is, but only 2 extra volumes. It’s mostly based on the growth of Kirito 2 kouhais. Sh*t gets serious foreshadowing and emotional.. It makes you happy, angry and sad at the same time. I do hope it gets an OVA or Movie. It needs to be high quality
I remember being teary eyed reading this part in the novel and Sobbing like lil bitch when I watched the actual adaptation Sao really has a special place in my heart props to Kawahara sensei and ABEC san for making it happen

Yeah this was fun watching, even after almost completely skipping season two initially, I was confused, but was still able to watch, now rewatching and actually watching the second season I put season 4 on hold for rewatch.

Yeah this was fun watching, even after almost completely skipping season two initially, I was confused, but was still able to watch, now rewatching and actually watching the second season I put season 4 on hold for rewatch.
After watching the abridged I just love Asuna and Kirito way too much. All the other girls can screw off.
Man kirito crying hits hard when you know he thought hes not gonna see his friends for 200 years. But man its kinda impressive that kirito and asuna's fluctlights didnt die before they returned.
