    Sir my question is :-
    Einstein said that if something could travel at light speed its mass would duplicate. How could it be?

    • @nutanp1157
      @nutanp1157 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Einstein's special theory of relativity introduced a correction factor to the mass in Newton's force equation (F=ma). The 'relativistic mass formula is that 'the mass of an object under motion is equal to its rest mass divided by the whole root of the velocity of the object squared divided by the speed of light squared, subtracted from 1'. (cant type symbols here). Thus as your velocity approaches the speed of light your mass approaches infinity. (Einstein had a different insight than this but this result is visible clearly in his formula)

    For something to be vector it must satisfy 3 basic condition:
    1)It must have magnitude
    2) It must have a direction
    3)And most importantly it should follow vector laws
    Since current has direction so it should be a vector quantity but since it doesn't obey the vector laws ,instead it follow scalar addition so that's why current is a scalar quantity.
    Is that enough explanation or it needed some more point to ponder about ?
    Thankyou 🙂

    sir, it's also possible that it might be a vector quantity that doesn't obey vector rules so it's also possible that vector rules are not universal. It's also possible that considering current as scalar can solve all the problems so no need yet we have discovered to treat current current as a vector ! ?

  • @amarnath387

    Hi sir , please elaborate tensor quantity its meaning and how moment of inertia and stress is tensor quantity and also about pressure when it have to call tensor and scalar .

    • @nefyt278
      @nefyt278 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tensor is actually a very broad concept. Vectors are included well within tensors. A tensor, in mathematics and physics, is a mathematical object that describes relationship between objects in an algebraic vector space. A vector is merely used to describe relationships upto 3 dimensions while tensors are used to describe relationships in more than 3 mathematical dimensions. The Way tensors are used in class 11th and 12th to describe some quantities as being neither Scalar nor proper vectors is wrong and is merely a gimmick.
      Quantities like Moment of inertia, pressure are SCALARS which have a "sense"(direction) but do not obey the mathematical transformations of vector spaces. THEY ARE SCALARS. CALLING THEM TENSORS IS WRONG

    And other can say rest mass of photon is zero
    Q mass of photon why not define ????"

    • @nefyt278
      @nefyt278 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's because photon is "energy", it does not have a physical existence. A "packet" or a certain "amount" of Electromagnetic or Light Energy is called a photon. It need not have mass because it doesn't exist in any physical form(like blocks, or smalls balls), it's a form of pure energy. This answer is correct upto a certain limit and the more elaborated answer requires a strong knowledge of quantum and particle physics, which I assume, you do not possess at this stage. Hope my answer helps!
