her repeating "Beautiful twin body poweres prostheses with dorrance number 5 stainless steel hooks" that many times almost makes it sound like a shit post
Not to mention "Debbie" and "DBE" (Double-below-elbow) is kinda on the nose... I definitely think it's at least fantasy writing and at most fetishistic in nature.
@JutlandAngel I think if Carole wrote anything, it might have been the super long text files. I could see an English major who may or may not have a fetish writing some erotica for her boyfriend. The sections that he showed seemed to demonstrate more writing ability and were apparently acclaimed and popular. By contrast the geocities page has to be Rob for sure. It's so repetitive and it feels like he's jacking off as he's writing it. Repeating the phrases that make him hard. "Beautiful twin Dorrance #5x stainless steel hooks" and "beautiful twin body-powered prostheses" come to mind. Longer, complex fetish erotica? Possibly the English major. Short repetitive paragraphs for fetish wank-fuel? Definitely the same amputee fetishist as the one on the hook-lovers blog.
' beatiful twin body powered prostheses with dorrance number 5 stainless steel hooks ' gives off the same vibe as ' galvanised square steel frames with eco friendly wood veneer and screws borrowed from his aunt '
Real DBE Amputee? I was a Real DBE Amputee once. They locked me in an Education Career. A Special Education Career. A Special Education Career with Beautiful Dorrance # 5x Stainless Steel Hook Prosthesis. And Beautiful Dorrance # 5x Stainless Steel Hook Prosthesis make me a Real DBE Amputee.
I'm honestly saddened how many videos like this are just about really blatantly mentally ill people, fetishists, or both. I dislike how they're treated as some sort of spectacle and the way people mock & theorize about them in the comments.
@@Smrda1312 do you think only "normal" people are deserving to be treated as human beings? nothing is truly normal, it's a mathematical concept. the norm doesn't exist in the natural world. even if something isn't "normal,' it doesn't make the people experiencing it undeserving of respect and kindness. if it were something morally incorrect that caused harm to others, that's entirely different, of course. but this blog just reads as fanfiction or, if entirely true, something that would be only potentially harm the person writing it. in those cases, they should be treated with compassion, not as a spectacle. it's fine to observe things that are put on the internet. it's fine to have opinions. it's even fine to think something is very weird! but some people in the comments are treating this individual as if they only exist to be gawked at. don't forget the humanity of others. don't forget your own humanity.
My theory? Carol never had anything to do with the blog OR the story, and was never engaged to Rob. The obsessive writing seems like it could easily be by the kind of person who gets obsessed with another individual who becomes the focus of their fantasy. Rob probably knew Carol IRL somehow and became obsessed with her and making her into his perfect DBE amputee woman. I'm willing to bet money that Carol was never engaged to him, never had any plans to become DBE, potentially never even knew the site or story existed, and instead just knew Rob as some creep obsessed with her for some reason. Carol existed, but the relationship, the plans, everything were all in Rob's head. That's what my instinct is.
Yeah that sounds about right. To me it's either that or the blog itself is satire. The insistence on her reminding readers about the specific type of hooks she wants seems like a joke to me.
honestly the second it mentioned her glasses and the thick lenses it became apparent this was someone’s fetish writing lol, probably a guy’s. it’s like the dudes in love with velma dinkley
THIS EXACTLY. My dad and I have thick lenses; it's not fun, it sucks! They're heavy to wear (sucks for me with a permanently broken nose that I got from a fall which gave me my TBI messing up my left eye which is why I need prism/thick lenses) and they're harder to clean and find frames for.
@@NoOneReallySpecial well if it makes you feel better, those fetishists don't think those disabilities are fun: they get off on those specifically because the person is disabled and uncomfortable and has no control over some part of their body. THATS the fun part for them. really, all extremely specific and weird fetishes could be traced to "oh this is about loss of control and agency".
My theory is that Rob was either dating or just crushing on Carole and was posting these stories from her POV to get his rocks off. Eventually Carole somehow finds this, is horrified that he was doing this without her consent, and made him delete it. Explains why the site is gone yet he's still posting.
Man, you are really onto something. I know people who have been completely immersed into something so immensely that they truly do say the same thing in the same fashion were to believe she did/ does. However, I met someone who really wanted to be castrated to get his proverbial, and literal rocks off. He was obsessed! He would draw cartoons, and post them as if a girl wrote the dialogue. I thought about him when I first heard about this case. However, I originally thought it was a case of someone really obsessed but I really think you are right!
I absolutely do not think this is a woman posting at all. I’ve listened to enough of the F+ podcast to immediately clock this as a sex thing. I know the video is taking it (somewhat) seriously….but I don’t think this is anything other than fetish.
Maybe Debbie is completely fictional and her name stems from the DBE acronym? D.B.E. = Dee Bee Ee = Debbie? Either that or it is one hell of a coincidence.
The amount pf times she repeats "Beautiful Dorrance #5 stainless steel hooks" immediately makes me think its fictional on some level. Like she wanted search engines to find those as search results
@@m-fh1km Yeah as if her convenient fiance conveniently had an ex gf who CONVENIENTLY had the SAME exact type of prosthetic that she wanted was an actual scenario that happened in real life and totally not a made up fantasy💀
i remember digging into this years ago. the writer of the dorrance hook site also made a deviantart gallery full of women with those huge glasses for people with severe myopia. had the exact same writing as was on the pages where he obsesses over myopia. i wish i remembered the username.
Ooookk yup I just left a comment about how the specific emphasis on being a "high myope" immmmeeediately screamed "fetish" to me. No one with a high prescription calls themselves that😂 we just wear the glasses like anyone else tf lol
The repetition of "DBE amputee" and "twin dorrance #5 stainless steel hooks" gives me anxiety. It's excruciating. This sounds like something written by an AI, or some freak with a fetish for amputees, writing mid stroke. I would hope that's the case, and not someone actually looking forward to mutilating themselves for something this... absurd. I don't even know how to describe this.
Written in 2001, so I doubt AI was involved 😅 Just a very strange person. My guess is that it was almost all fantasy with a few real-life details sprinkled in.
The writing reminds me a lot of the stuff with Delia Day, man ran BDSM blog about his wife pretty much against her will. The Internet Investigator made a video on it, but it was pretty much the same thing of an overly-excited woman into odd fetish content.
@@pablowentscobar It's actually a big ol' carbon fiber leg. I think it's pretty badass, but admittedly not as cool as some sweet Dorrance #5 stainless steel hooks.
Was thinking the same thing. Maybe he pushed her to like it more after she said she had an interest in it. Maybe that’s why it got out of hand I think he pushed her to it :( super sad.
I don't think Carole is a real person. The "Carole" found in this video is supported by very flimsy evidence. Carole is a very common name, the available details are very sparse and generic, and I highly doubt someone studying to get an English degree would write such a repetitive all-caps fetish rant like that. The all-caps fetishistic writing of not only the hook hands but the arbitrary inclusion of glasses as part of the kink, the fact that the fetish revolves exclusively around women, the naming of the character "Debbie" that aligns with DBE (it's not uncommon for kink communities to latch onto these kinds of naming conventions that align with their kink!) all of it points to the whole website being written by "Rob." I don't know about you, but I don't know any ~22 year old that writes in all caps. That's something old people do because they struggle to read smaller fonts. The whole thing reads like an old man writing from the perspective of a young woman. This is especially common for niche kinks that don't have a lot of content online. People resort to writing fantasy stories and attempt to pass them off as real. This is just a fake fetish post for people with amputation kinks to get off to.
@@yai2615 @plushygirlie I'm not saying people in their 20s can't be visually impaired. I'm saying that writing in all caps is often the go-to solution for old people when they struggle to read the font. People in their 20s usually know how to adjust font sizes. I'm in the same age range as "Carole" at the time, and I've never seen anyone my age using all caps like that. And again, this is from an alleged English major.
I think an even worse scenario is that this was written by Rob for fetish reasons and that he was aroused by her of all people, despite obviously knowing the horrific reason why she was an amputee in the first place. That thought made me so nauseous when I recognised the name and picture on the screen, her story is actually one of the most horrific things I have ever heard in my life.
If i were to make up a name for someone who's a 'DBE' for a story or fantasy, it would be Debbie. "D e B bi E" - DBE. Seems almost too perfect of a name to be a real person. 'DBE' can even be pronounced as 'Debbie'. Just me? The fetish angle definitely sounds right to me. Very interesting video you made.
Just wanted to post a comment with a similar point, but noticed yours. Yeah, it just feels like a writer giving a meaningful name to their character. I wouldn't be surprised If this whole story turned out to be a fetish fantasy lmao
While at first I thought that this would be a case of apotemnophilia (desire for one's healthy limb to be cut off, regarded as a paraphilia as it is inherently sexual), I never really saw 'Carole's writing as sexual. I think it definitely was an intense fascination or recognized disorder that caused Carole to have this deep desire to have prosthetics. People, surprisingly, have a *lot* of interest in amputees and being amputated, more specifically. It's more common than you think. But, with your theory of Rob being the person to actually write this, I feel it's also plausible. Cases of people being groomed into fetishistic boxes are not unheard of, and it is unfortunately something that happens. Re-looking at the writing, there's almost an enthusiastic, sexual undertone that laces random posting about the need for a prosthetic or to be amputated by a person with a disorder like the ones theorized to be what Carole has. There's a almost too-specific-to-be-reality part of the writing, if you get what I mean. There's a way of writing on this site that feels like it was a fantasy written about an imaginary person and their needs to become an amputee or a voyeuristic look into people who want to have amputated limbs / have apotemnophilia. Because it feels too specific, too write-ery if you get what I mean. I'm not saying Carole is made up, she's probably not, but these desires feel like they're over-exaggerated or played up or not based in reality. It feels like they are more fantasies than anything, possibly written by Rob on a girl he was crushing on and wanted to project those fantasies onto her. But, I do think that Rob and Carole might've been in a relationship. It just seems unlikely or that Rob was acting like he *was* dating Carole. And maybe Carole had no idea that this was happening! I think that is a theory that could branch off of your own right now. (P.S, love seeing your guys editing skills get better :-) )
They are definitely weird fantasies. Only about 10 minutes in and one thing that really sticks out is how detailed some parts are- as with knowing exact prostheses, etc- yet somehow being completely clueless about the rest of it. If this were truly someone's dream, they'd have done just as much research into the process from "accident" to "being fully functional with prosthetics", yet this person has said that they're going to stage some accident and expects to be fully functional and starting a new career 2 months later? Lol. This is with no way of knowing how much physical damage might actually be done by the accident, how much repair would need to be done (and it's a hell of a lot more than 2 short months of reconstructive surgeries, even I know that), healing time, time to rebuild strength in the affected limbs, scar tissue healing, etc. And that's assuming they don't bleed to death or have infections or any complications. Nope, just "look MA, no hands" in April and "ready to do everything myself with my new hook hands" in June. And if the person really wanted this, they'd have read about all those people, done tons of research and would know it'll be more like 2 years before they're ready to start a new career, not 2 months.
My initial impressions were that this was potentially a sufferer of body integrity identity disorder, which is more of an identity disorder (as the name suggests) than a paraphilia, and that treating it as a paraphilia might be even more stigmatizing and unhelpful than to treat the case prima facie. As you noted, though, there certainly appear to be sexual undertones and overt attention to specific detail bordering on the obsessive-compulsive in Carole's fantastical writings, and that apotemnophilia can't be ruled out by those of us who have no personal experience or contact with Carole, much less the personal understanding requisite to make an educated diagnosis; the question comes down to what the primary diagnosis happens to be - is this a paraphilia concomitant with an identity disorder, or the other way around? You also make a good point about the veracity of the source, and note that Rob may be involved (either writing as Carole and exploring his own paraphilias in a relatively harmless way or, in a darker but less likely situation, imposing his own paraphilia upon his partner) without Carole even being aware that this was happening. I definitely get the same sense that this is all an elaborate fantasy and that "Carole" may not exist at all, but is rather an imagined outlet for someone to self-treat with intrusive thoughts and uncomfortable feelings in a relatively harmless way. The way it is written and the verbiage used seems far too impersonal and detached to be genuine, at least in my view, and this points to its being a fictional account written as coping mechanism.
@@seraph8 Yeah I definitely agree that it might be a way for this supposed Rob to engage in his paraphilia in a non-contact or harmless way, or maybe intrusive thoughts from a identity disorder put down to paper! I want to be clear that I, in no way, think that body integrity identity disorder is a paraphilia - I thought it was very plausible that was what it was - but re-reading the writings in a way made me think more about the paraphilia theory and how the writings were very sexually charged, even in a tiny or insignificant amount. There seems to be a disconnect from how disabled / amputated actually works, and the *idea* of it, and having prosthetics (or more specifically hook prosthetics). I think the site and writings *stress* the fact that there will be hook prosthetics, and there is something in that writing that makes me go 'Oh yeah, that seems like a fantasy more than anything'. I don't have the words for it, and I'm not that great at expressing myself LOL. I also think it is very plausible that Carole, may not even exist at all and JIF may have just found a person who was completely disconnected from this site. 'Rob' (let's just dub him that now, 'creator of the site' would get old very quickly) may have been posing as Carole or making a persona or idea around Carole to vent out his discomforts or intrusive thoughts / sexual thoughts in a way that did not involve him being pro-contact. I also think that the way this is elaborate would help with the thoughts that 'Rob' has more thoroughly than just making little snippets of it. I also never thought that it may be a combination of both paraphilia *and* an identity disorder. Your writing is very good and insightful, thank you!
It DOES sound like a fetish, as they are usually attained/found out at a young age (i know after being exposed to vore/belly fetish content at the ripe age of 7-8), usually from the ages of 3 to before adolescence when children are still very impressionable (hence ' Carole ' seeing someone with amputated limbs when she was very young and attaining that fascination). The two most likely theories for me are either Carole has a really extreme fetish, or Rob is getting it off to these writings (with him as the author and there was never a Carole at all/she did exist and he was obsessing over her)
It's almost like how some ASD people become fixated or obsessed with very specific types of vehicle. She MUST say every time exactly what specific equipment she wants, she can't just say "prosthetic" or whatever, because her mind just cannot process the notion that it could even potentially be anything other than dorrance #5 whatever.
I don't know whether I am or am not autistic, but I guess that this repetitive nature lies in the fear of being misunderstood, which I have, too. In my case, it's just too thorough description of things I want or am going to do (instead of saying "I'll do what you said just in a second" I'll say "I'll go to my room to put a book in place, and then I'll wash my hands, and then I'll help you to do so and so". In the cases such as this fetish of BEAUTIFUL HOOKS, it can come from the fear that someone will, God forbid, misunderstand the writer and that the reader will think that Carole could possibly want anything other than that hooks she described. Like, "If I forget to mention it even a single time, the reader will forget what I am talking about".
Holy shit my dad told me about this, he was looking into this and told me it was one of the craziest things he saw on the clear web back in the day, well this and the guy who wanted to make a real life cat dog and supposedly was doing experiments while also looking for help and donations of animals. I completely forgot about this, you just unlocked some weird memories.
BIID (BID) sufferer here. Mine is much more minor and I've also given consideration into fully going through with it. Mine is my just with my pinky fingers though. I want them both gone and the side of the hand partially smoothed out. I've had these feelings since i was young and its always crazy hearing how much more dramatically it effects other people. I never had some big moment of meeting someone with a disability like this lady. They just always have felt like they shouldnt be there and they get in my way. (Yes I've looked into the logistics, there is no warning you can give me that I don't know and haven't prepared for)
i think i can kinda get what youre saying, where certain parts just feel wrong- do you get therapy for this? do you talk about it with them? just here to be a friendly push to one if you dont
Also a BID sufferer, on the opposite side of the spectrum. Mine is severe and I've tried to harm myself to achieve my need countless times. I also don't think I had a big moment, my mother is deaf but I was adopted and don't remember knowing that about her until much later, and it had been developing for years prior. Totally unsure if it's related at all. I've heard from others that seeing people living with the conditions they've felt they needed basically solidified it and made them realize it was possible to achieve, but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone basically being given BID from that until just now. I haven't watched far enough to know but many comments are saying it's a fetish. Just hopeful they're not pulling that out of nowhere lol.
You outdo yourself with every upload man, this thumbnail and concept is terrifying. I love channels like yours, thank you for having your own unique retro-esque take on various internet mysteries, it helps calm me down
This is most definitely a fetish, and it most DEFINITELY isnt hers. But Robs. The fact Carole wrote a story about how she met Robs GIRLFRIEND, a DBE amputee, who moved away and then suddenly Rob was focused on her... AND THEN she wanted to be A DBE amputee....? Rob was forcing this on her. Without a doubt. Hell, him WRITING these stories in a sick sorta fantasy of how Carole would want to be a DBE amputee for him... (the talking of an "accident" is creepy, and HEAVILY feels like Rob would want to harm her JUST for his fetish.)
Neither Carol nor Debbie are real. This was written by a dude with an amputee fetish in his basement, I doubt the author of this story ever interacted with women who weren't his mom.
This made me remember I had a janitor in my middle school who had a hook hand/arm, somehow as a kid I never registered that meant he was an amputee and just kind of thought it was a Janitor Thing. I also met a kid with an amputated hand (or maybe he was born with a limb difference) on a playground once and was fascinated, but … obviously not to this extent. I’ve run across weird fetish blogs before and this definitely ticks the boxes, especially the web pages filled with photos of specific women. I’ve also seen people with BIID and it’s usually a different vibe, and causes a lot more distress rather than ‘excitement’. People are certainly interesting.
As a female who is facing a double amputation due to deformations because of rematoide arthritis which is cutting off my blood supply this REALLY REALLY pisses me off . What i would give for normal feet .ive got club / claw looking feet right now that get worse by the day. Hard to walk and can inly wear a certain design of sketchers trainers size 9 when i really should be size 6 but can't get anything smaller on because of my bones piking through. Also my hands are turning to claws now as well getting slowly worse as each year passes
I’m really sorry you had to go through that, but just so you know, there are real people who struggle with biid, including myself, and it’s not a choice to feel the way that we do. It’s a neurological condition that makes you feel like one or more of your limbs are foreign to your own body.
I think the worst implication with the fetish angle is that (assuming every assumption is 100% correct) it took you a while to find Rob, but it took you a lot less to find Carrol. The idea of a guy basically doxxing you to tens, hundreds, thousands of people without your consent (and maybe even knowledge) is absolutely horrifying. He could have just made up a Carrol. I really hope he did.
Almost for sure that that's not the actual Carrol. The evidence is extremely filmsy and if we assume the writer is a guy there is literally nothing except the name and glasses lol
I have never almost had to turn the upload off but I was truly gritting my teeth thinking about the injury! I toughed it out and I'm glad. You did a great job covering this in depth. Thank you for another amazing upload!
@BezoomyKoshka-ip4dz you're right to feel that way. I used to feel that way. It's been 5 + years, and there's physical pain and trauma to deal with. The idea that someone would that on top of all that you are now physically disabled for life.
I know that to someone without biid it seems like it’s something you wouldn’t want, but to someone WITH biid, it’s a feeling where the limb doesn’t feel like it’s a part of yo, and it feels foreign on your body, it’s a neurological condition. (Speaking from someone with biid.)
my dad accidentally cut his finger off when i was 7 and i got to hold the severed finger in a plastic baggie while he drove us to the ER. they successfully reattached it, and i think it influenced my sense of humor.
So this woman you "matched" as her has same first name, right area and around the right age, but to be honest everything else is unconvincing. The college years are off, the degree is different, and the only matching physical detail is wearing glasses (extremely common). Even being in the same area isn't a firm hook, she could have moved after all. I'm not saying it couldn't be her, but c'mon, it's way too tenuous to confidently call it a match. The writing connection is also weakened if, as you speculate, there's a chance Rob wrote the blog Edit: doesn’t mean the rest of the theories are wrong though, just wanted to flag that this was a really tenuous claim that was made way too confidently
I don’t think the degree being different is that huge of an issue - as someone who studied English in college (huge mistake, btw, if you’re considering an English degree and don’t want to teach, DONT DO IT) I know many people who get a bachelor’s degree in English go on to teach, even if they don’t have a degree in education. The ability to do this is honestly a huge gripe I have with the education system. I think, though, his idea that this IS Carol and maybe this was a creative writing project perfectly tracks - in every fiction writing class I’ve ever taken, you’re encouraged to use details of reality to strengthen your characters and plot lines, and often, writers draw from themselves - so it’s entirely possible. I agree that the claim could have been hedged a little more to allow for the possibility that it isn’t her, but I don’t think that most of it is THAT tenuous.
I truly believe that this is a mental illness, but I don't think these people realize that its not painless to become an amputee. Usually the amputee has a horrible accident, are in lots of pain, and suffer from PTSD due to the accident. Even if that isn't the case, there is pain involved in having limbs amputated. It will be a painful recovery, you may have phantom limb pain, and you have to basically learn how to do everything all over again.
It’s a neurological condition called biid, I have it and we are well aware of the pain and consequences. You don’t know how it feels to have a limb that always feels foreign to the rest of your body.
As a congenital finger amputee AND fellow writer, I went into this confused, and came out doubly disgusted lmao like wow how can you make everything I am so gross. the repetition of the prosthetic, the fact that the prosthetic ex girlfriend is mentioned and made out to be like Caroles ultimate dream to become HAS to be the husbands own words. No sane or at least semi-sane girlfriend would want to end up like the last bitches heart you broke like the inclusion of him and his ex girlfriend seem so intentionally placed like a self insert of sorts that its like. mind boggling. This reads like I need to add myself into this fantasy so i can get an ego boost later in my room for inspiring my wife to STUFF HER HANDS IN A BLENDER FOR NO REASON so we can live out this awful codependent life
to me, that’s the biggest red flag that this is a fetish story. Like…the person you want to be exactly like is your fiancees ex? She lists all these celebrities and women but keeps going back to Debbie?
I bet this wasn’t even her. My theory is that this was Rob writing stories about his classmate Carol. I imagine she doesn’t even know these stories exist and that’s even more terrifying.
Sounds to me like a creative writing project in the "body horror" ethos by someone who has done little research on either Body Integrity Dysphoriacs or Acrotomophiliacs. The narrator's identity is immaterial, because the motivations of both Carole and Rob are out of step with the clinical characteristics associated with their presumed respective disorder and paraphilia. A BID case doesn't casually plan ahead for their day of liberation...it's a torturous and exceedingly rare condition which may well persist unless they achieve harmony of mind and body. Those who fetishize amputees("acrotomophiliacs", almost exclusively heterosexual males) are...ehh...interesting. The key exigency of these "devotees" is not centered on reduced limbs...it's more about themselves than the amputee. The fetish is rooted in gratification they achieve through self-perceived virtuosity...the feeling that having a helpless dependant ennobles them with a nimbus of chivalry and purpose. It may sound respectable at face value, but it's actually a very unhealthy narcissistic phenotype. At any rate, I'd identify this as a stylized work of pure fiction, and I'd bet my eye teeth that the same party wrote a particularly vile ersatz chatroom exchange, purportedly between two pedocannibals, which was circulating as a genuine online correspondence several years ago. The writing style is identical.
I think it’s higkey fetish post made by Rob, there’s no way anyone would even describe themselves or others by the way the post is made, especially herself so… freaking… much. It seems like he’s actually envisioning it and by repeating the same chain of words he guarantees he’s not forgetting what he’s imagining. It would be unreal sounding if it wasn’t actually an internet thing (ex. In Japanese anime art with completely decapitated arms and legs)
How did you confirm that the face book page is definitely her? Like you said it’s not the perfect graduation year but how can you be so certain that she may be alive now with DBE… you know what she wanted don’t make me say it
to me it sounds like the writer of these stories is actually “Rob”. and that hes a man with the an amputee fetish who dated “debbie”, his last girlfriend for her amputation, they broke up for some reason and he got a new non-amputated girlfriend “carol”, but he still longs for a partner that fits his fetish and writes stories about carol wanting to be just like his amputated ex, debbie
I have conflicting feelings about this. I am a below the knee amputee who has gone through a lot because of it. It feels a bit like a slap in the face for her to romanticize my disability, but I realize that she most likely has some mental illness going on. That being said, if it’s purely a fetish or in Rob’s head, I find it much more distasteful. And if it’s creative writing I wish she had made that clear. I wish people would put their energy towards actually making life better for those of us who are amputees and who didn’t get a say in the matter
If they truly "knew what to expect" as far as healing, surgeries, etc, they'd absolutely know that it would be more like 2 years before they're ready for hook prosthetics with which they'll be totally functional, not 2 months. If you cut off your hands, you'll almost certainly still be in the hospital 2 months out. And no way would the wounds be healed anywhere near enough to wear prosthetics, especially 20 years ago.
8:00 god damn its worse cause mary vincent isnt rrlly a celebrity she is a victim of an assault with an axe and that is why she is amputated . ontop of that this obvi being a fetish thing for the writer eeeuugrrrgghh
So this is obviously Rob writing, maybe the ex, who was actually an amputee, broke up with him bc he's a creep, and now hes writing his fantasy of having a new gf who also shares his fetish/would fulfill his fantasy. Either that, or a bunch of sleeper cells just activated by the phrase 'Dorance #5"
I believe the theory that Rob was the one writing the blog, there could be a chance that he didn’t actually know Carol that well and only knew her in passing, hence why he makes up the fact that she wants to be a special ed teacher when that has seemingly nothing to do with her major, very little of what “Carol” shares in her blog posts seem to have to do with her actual personal life or who she is as a person, just her infatuation with amputation and these seemingly made up stories of her meeting other amputated women, Rob may have been a stalker of her in college and there’s a chance she might not even know this blog existed
i love how i’ve watched this and another video about this topic and BOTH have so many comments about her saying the dbe amputee / dorrance #5 stainless steel hooks
Where did you see that? When I checked the archived site, the only mention of an Ed Carlson that I saw was on the "my favorite web links" page where "Carole" was promoting other people's websites. Ed Carlson made photoshop amputation pictures of women, apparently. And I wouldn't put it past someone who would do that, to also create a blog like this. I'm just curious where you saw mention of that
@@molly7798 if you look on the writings of his blogs he writes about the same woman and further expands upon her stories, along with the writing style overall being the same. It’s safe to assume he was promoting his own website, and made this one independently to rp as one of his story characters
I used to know a skinhead with hook arms because we rescued a kitten from a squat that he and his gf wanted so we had to be in a bit of a conflict with them and he showed up at my door with a gun behind his back. We were scared but still curious as to how he could use one with any accuracy. His hooks were scarier! We just didn't open the door and argued until he went away and the kitty ended up being mine and I named her Chyna. She was so cool, I miss her so much! (There's a lot more to the story, lol).

Not to mention "Debbie" and "DBE" (Double-below-elbow) is kinda on the nose... I definitely think it's at least fantasy writing and at most fetishistic in nature.
And most likely written by Rob. Purely from vibes, but this doesn't read like a woman writing about herself even if it's her fetish.
@@JutlandAngel yeah, that’s what i’m thinking too.

This is just a fake fetish post for people with amputation kinks to get off to.
young ppl can also struggle to read smaller fonts..........

That thought made me so nauseous when I recognised the name and picture on the screen, her story is actually one of the most horrific things I have ever heard in my life.

That would honestly be kinda genius. It’s hard to advertise that stuff so if you make it go viral, it would really help push product
(P.S, love seeing your guys editing skills get better :-) )
havent watched the whole video yet but im pretty sure someone found her facebook and she's like, a writer, so it's like...just fiction?

Shit I think I'm autistic
I don't know whether I am or am not autistic, but I guess that this repetitive nature lies in the fear of being misunderstood, which I have, too. In the cases such as this fetish of BEAUTIFUL HOOKS, it can come from the fear that someone will, God forbid, misunderstand the writer and that the reader will think that Carole could possibly want anything other than that hooks she described. Like, "If I forget to mention it even a single time, the reader will forget what I am talking about".

i think i can kinda get what youre saying, where certain parts just feel wrong- do you get therapy for this? do you talk about it with them? just here to be a friendly push to one if you dont
This was written by a dude with an amputee fetish in his basement, I doubt the author of this story ever interacted with women who weren't his mom.

dorrance #5 stainless steel hooked?
How did people find these websites back in the day?
People are certainly interesting.
my theory is that this was some weird experimental dorrance 5x beautiful stainless steel hooks advertisement
I'm sorry you have to deal with that, that's awful
I’m really sorry you had to go through that, but just so you know, there are real people who struggle with biid, including myself, and it’s not a choice to feel the way that we do. It’s a neurological condition that makes you feel like one or more of your limbs are foreign to your own body.
also got rheumatoid arthritis- hope all is well
I think the worst implication with the fetish angle is that (assuming every assumption is 100% correct) it took you a while to find Rob, but it took you a lot less to find Carrol.
I'm a real amputee, and you absolutely don't want that
The idea of losing a body part scares me so much, even losing teeth makes me scared to think about
@BezoomyKoshka-ip4dz you're right to feel that way. I used to feel that way. It's been 5 + years, and there's physical pain and trauma to deal with. The idea that someone would that on top of all that you are now physically disabled for life.
Hope your doing well 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@Aly_224 thank you 😃
I know that to someone without biid it seems like it’s something you wouldn’t want, but to someone WITH biid, it’s a feeling where the limb doesn’t feel like it’s a part of yo, and it feels foreign on your body, it’s a neurological condition.
The writing connection is also weakened if, as you speculate, there's a chance Rob wrote the blog
Edit: doesn’t mean the rest of the theories are wrong though, just wanted to flag that this was a really tenuous claim that was made way too confidently
@@punchurlightzoutthey mean the fetish aspect, not the neurological disorder that is typically detached from any sexual fantasy
@@punchurlightzoutalso I give my condolences to your disorder you suffer from, I am sure that it is very distressing, and I give my best wishes to you
@@ПресвятаяБогородицаСпаси_нас Thank you I appreciate it.
Her repeating the specific model of the prosthesis sounds like an product placement

Fantastic upload. Nice to watch a story I've never heard of before. 🔥
Glad you enjoyed!
I really want to finish this video but if I hear Dorrance #5 stainless steel hooks again I’m gonna lose my marbles
I bet this wasn’t even her. My theory is that this was Rob writing stories about his classmate Carol. I imagine she doesn’t even know these stories exist and that’s even more terrifying.
This sounds like it was written by AI before AI existed

Want to call in Sick tomorrow? Take a shot every time "DBE" "Accident" or "Dorrance #5x Stainless Steel Hooks" are mentioned
I believe the theory that Rob was the one writing the blog, there could be a chance that he didn’t actually know Carol that well and only knew her in passing, hence why he makes up the fact that she wants to be a special ed teacher when that has seemingly nothing to do with her major, very little of what “Carol” shares in her blog posts seem to have to do with her actual personal life or who she is as a person, just her infatuation with amputation and these seemingly made up stories of her meeting other amputated women, Rob may have been a stalker of her in college and there’s a chance she might not even know this blog existed
scary as fuck that she developed this obsession at age 3 supposedly

It’s a story by some guy named Ed Carlson…it says it on the archived site how did u miss this 😭
Where did you see that? When I checked the archived site, the only mention of an Ed Carlson that I saw was on the "my favorite web links" page where "Carole" was promoting other people's websites. Ed Carlson made photoshop amputation pictures of women, apparently. And I wouldn't put it past someone who would do that, to also create a blog like this. I'm just curious where you saw mention of that
@@molly7798 if u look on the site the writings are the same and even references the same couple we see in the og blog
Huh????
@@molly7798 if you look on the writings of his blogs he writes about the same woman and further expands upon her stories, along with the writing style overall being the same. It’s safe to assume he was promoting his own website, and made this one independently to rp as one of his story characters
The way the entries are written, the repetition and the planning, it all reminds me of the Pad guy who wanted to become a feminine hygiene product
I've never heard of this! do yk if there's anything good about it online??
I used to know a skinhead with hook arms because we rescued a kitten from a squat that he and his gf wanted so we had to be in a bit of a conflict with them and he showed up at my door with a gun behind his back. We were scared but still curious as to how he could use one with any accuracy. His hooks were scarier! We just didn't open the door and argued until he went away and the kitty ended up being mine and I named her Chyna. She was so cool, I miss her so much!
(There's a lot more to the story, lol).
The repetition of complete, specific phrases is giving me heavy 'DeviantArt autism' vibes.
This video is actually very interesting. And the narration is awesome.
