definitely. when i was learning ollie’s the moment i started putting weight on my front foot they smoothed out. Something i figured out after do A LOT of research.
I feel what makes heel flips "easier" is the feeling of solid balance. I have more of my foot on the deck and use more heelside of my tail to create an opposing pressure. My pop gives a slight curl into my heel and a flick straight out - sucks up to my feet every time.
So I was taught to hang my toes over the toe side edge of the board and roll the side of my foot up and off the corner of the board where the nose starts. I have also heard people talking about how they actually use their toes to heelflip. I think cupsole shoes make heelflips easier than vulcanized shoes because cupsoles tend to be beefier on the back side of the shoe right below the ball of your ankle is...if that makes any sense.
Excellent advice. Weight distribution is rarely talked about when teaching but it's very important.

Thanks for tutorial, mate! That was very helpful for my students!
Your students?
Absolutely INCREDIBLE work.
Amazing! Could you make next about "line of sight while jumping over obstacles"?
Dude thank you so so much for this and all the work you do, really opened my eyes to a lot of stuff. Can't wait to put it into practice!
DO A HARDFLIP TUTORIAL

awesome! i have regular heelflips figured out, but for fakie heelflips i flip them way too fast. So I must be flicking too much along the x axis.
Do front feeble please 🙏
Yep. Explains why when i try and pop to hard front foot doesnt flip it
Yesss finally

I think you are doing some of those heelflips with your toes, like I was saying in my comment above.
Hardness of shoes, huh?
Excellent point. Will think about it more.
Dude you have such a n underrated channel.
Grade A shit
Thank you homie!!
My issue is that it always goes behind me
working on it. please wait.
Don't mind me, Imma just watch this video despite already having heelflips on lock, I just like heelflips
I either primo or credit card these
