Top vid Roger. Just pruned my Cornus today, the fresh new foliage will look great during the summer & the young stems will shine during the winter. Looking forward to the growth 'marker' update videos.
Thanks Damian - yes will keep you posted ... it felt quite spring like here is south wales today so it should be long before they start shooting - we are you living?
Hi Laura, great question I was thinking I should have done that, when I am heat io at the school garden I will either do an update video or at least take some photos and out them on the community section if my channel .. thanks for the reminder 😀👍
I guess the reason the choisya are leaning outwards is due to the lack of light occasioned by the dogwood. All three plants are positioned very close to one another. You're going to need to transplant eventually as their root-balls increase in width. You seem to have room to the right of the camera shot, once the weeds have been cleared out. As regards the dogwood, they look so much better if they are cut back every year, rather than once in a while.

@@damianmorse6872 Ah we were over there last week walking around Minehead / Dunster etc - lovely gardens!
Great video, did you ever do a progress video to show where the cornus grew to during the summer? Would love to see it if so.

@@rogthegardener1 great, that would be really helpful and reassuring as I have hard pruned one today and needed to see it was going to come back! 🤣

Thanks for comment, yes I agree re giving more space to the choisyas - maybe we can dig them and move them next autumn 👍
