The slow rhythm gives a new perspective for me on this piece!

La plus belle interpretation du monde ❤ les trilles sont delicieusement joués, esquissés avec une délicatesse exquise. Je vais retravailler cette invention dans cet esprit ! MERCI ❤❤❤

Beautiful! Lovely to listen to. You also prove a point: Bach does not have to be played at breakneck speed just because it may be possible. Pieces like this Invention can be played and equally enjoyed at a much more moderate tempo. This tempo is perfect for anyone learning this piece and still evolving as a student of the work of J.S. Bach.

Thank yiu, just finding these, slower paced pieces from learning Dr P by Debusy , which I have learned fast, but I feel the need to slow down in some parts, and after watching your way to play this, I have put more rubato in hoping that is acceptable , as it must feel natural for me.
Apart from feeling intimidated Yo Yo Ma's was too rushed, though brilliant ...
This Bach I play, but like it with a little more movement...a touch more.. I like the left hand relentless and strong 🤣🙌

Thanks for writing! I wouldn't worry about whether rubato is acceptable - if you like it, find it satisfying and interesting, then the rubato is worth doing. Thank you also for your comments about the Bach tempos. I enjoy it at many faster tempos too. Have you found your perfect tempo, or do you play it at several speeds?
