2015 Volvo Sensus Infotainment and Digital Instrument Cluster Review

  • In this video I take an in-depth look at the 7-inch LCD infotainment system in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Volvo S60, XC60, V60, V70, XC70 and S80 models in America. Much of this also applies to the European Volvo V40 wagon as well. All modern Volvos with the exception of the XC90 share the active LCD instrument cluster seen in this video. The first half is devoted to the LCD gauges while the last half is on the infotainment system itself. Be sure to check back for the full review of the 2015 Volvo S60 T6 going live tomorrow!

    FYI, an enhanced infotainment system, Sensus Connect, will be standard on all US models, except the XC90, starting this May. It includes navigation, Volvo On Call, and cloud-based applications for streaming music, etc.

    I cannot turn off the navigation system. Most of my driving is local, i.e., I do not need turn-by-turn instructions on how to get to my daughter's residence, which is 20 minutes away - I would rather listen to the radio. How do I turn the navigation system off? I have followed instructions in the owner's manual but nothing works. Many thanks.

    • @rumynchik
      @rumynchik 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MPC007 GAMING Speed at which it reacts. City Safety is for city speeds. I believe it now works up to 30 mph or maybe even higher. Collision warning is for anything above that. That's a separate package though (Tech Package)

      I think the US models don't have it. It appears as a photo in my US model owners manual but there's no mention of it in the text, and it's not selectable in my car either. I wish I had it, and would love to add it to free up the one USB slot.

    I have no single idea why there is still no TOUCH SCREEN in either BMW x3, GLC, Audi Q5, or Volvo XC60. This is almost the end of 2015, and touch screen is so much more convenient, which is only available in "non-luxurious" cars.

    Had hoped to find good video, but this one is completely rushed, and at beginning does not bother to show me the controls that are being used to control the display, i.e. I assume on the stalk on the left. Minor detail? I think not. Show what you are doing, for pete's sake.

      This system is also called Sensus, Volvo has used the name since this system launched. I think you are thinking of the new "Sensus Connected Touch" system which is not yet sold in the USA. It is a little confusing on the naming front, but this one is Sensus and the other is Sensus Connected Touch.
