it is difficult to predict, im actually surprised that prices are up, i thought they would have remained flat however, as opposed to the US the bank of Canada might not decrease interest rates as fast, so we continue with current rates throughout the 2024 we might see a sight decrease in activity or flat prices..
Are the prices I'm seeing on Centris for condos (1bd/2bd) at a level seller need? or are they willing to take steep discounts?
Currently, most properties are selling at or near asking prices. There are not huge negotiations.
Feel like prices are still totally insane in Montreal. I offered 700k for a duplex in Saint-Leonard that was 100% original and in need of repairs. They basically laughed in my face....
Prices are certainly high and they seem to keep climbing. I guess we’re still relatively low compared to the other major Canadian metropolises.
