Even without following his every step, you can see the map before porting and you know we are going for the root east of the tower. No more instructions needed. Well, he could have clicked on it once, but it's still simple as that.
the path to the shroudroot is so well dockumented, I found it on the first try. if you stand on the nomad highlands spire, just look around and compare it to the view in the video 2:08. the tunnel entrance, which you have to fly in, is visible from the top of the spire. btw. there are 2 more iron ore spot in the same root cave. one is a bit more up the tunnel in a side branch. You can get there almost the same amount out of that spot as from the one spot shown in the video. Its also outside the shroud mist and you need to chop down a few insects and their nest, in order to stop them from spawning. a second tiny spot of iron ore is even further back up the tunnel you just went in. almost at the entrance.

Wak, when giving out locations if possible can you let us know what the landmarks are on the route to the farm location. thanks , i have only started and don't know how far to go on the map as its still uncharted , ty.
You only need to be Flame 5, also if you follow the road a little further from the cave enterance, you get out of the shroud and can drop a Flame Alter there for quicker travel, doing so now in fact lol

The rarity is random when looting chests as far as I can tell so if you can get it at purple level you can also get it at gold level from that chest. But what is more important is that you look at the level over the color. The color shows how many times it can be enhanced the level determines damage.
What I don't get is that you need iron ore to upgrade your flame alter to be able to go into the shroud that's marked on the map from the blacksmith. So you have to get it from that one spot you just showed us to even go in there in the first place? And if you didn't find that spot your just SOL? Makes no sense.
Wak, some of us are new to the game and don't know where most places are. A map location along with a good description would be more helpful. All you basically did was show you know the exact location be good luck finding it yourself.
Surely there are iron mine locations that aren't in the shroud? Mining takes time and a major part of easy of resource gathering is being able to fast travel back to your stores.

Well there's a cave passage way out of the shroud with 3 veins and no enemy at all in it. Perfect spot to grind in peace.

On the way to the shroud root, just before the shroud root, there is a roundabout on the left that has a second pile of iron ore.
The monsters were hard because you were using ice while you should have been using fire element on shroud monsters

hey thank you this was very helpful also i would like to put that right outside the cave to the right up on the hill you can put your flame shrine
4:50 Or just place an alter and a workbench nearest to that location allowable to do repairs so don't have start off from the ancient spire.

In Ridgeback mine,,, Drop the enemies... Mine a tunnel... I did that.. No fight... Just explore the area first...
