    Great job! I enjoyed your video. Im thinking of doing something similar for a 20' container, but was thinking of bringing the height to 3' above ground. I wonder if this idea would work just the same?? 🤔

    Have you ever taken some flat stock of metal welded rebar on the bottom shoved in to wet pier then when container sets on it you can weld it to plate?

    About how many yards per barrel? Any connectors btween anchor and container at corners?
    Great idea!!

      About 3 barrels is a yard of concrete. We did not anchor them down. In some areas of the country I would have though.

    My son has a 4000 Sq ft shop where he builds cabinets and custom millwork.
    The kiln dry lumber and plywood takes up quite a lot of space he could use for other things.
    So he recently ordered a new 40’ shipping container with doors on both ends at a cost of $4000.
    The container was never delivered, and a Police investigation showed that it was a scam company operating by using a legitimate companies address.
    So buyer beware about doing business with container outfits.

    How much concrete does it take to fill a barrel?

  • @c50ge
    @c50ge ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I live in St. Louis, MO USA. How come we don’t see concrete trucks like these here?
    Ours dump in the rear instead of the front.

    • @bondobuilt386
      @bondobuilt386  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rear trucks are old school. Some concrete plants can not fit the fronts in their old plant so they stay with rear loaders. Fronts are way better.

      @@meichelereid3283 thanks. That way when to pic up the drum and set the height with the laser the concrete will go all the way to the bottom. Other wise the concrete will push the drum down and out of level.

  • @MasterOfSpaceTime
    @MasterOfSpaceTime ปีที่แล้ว

    That's so silly to try and adjust the height to the sonotube because it's never going to stay the same life. You use steel and you drive the steel into the ground and then you set your steel at the right heights like a piece of rebar and you set your laser on top of that steel. Once it's at the right height you just pour the concrete up to the steel top of the steel and you bring the sauna tube up about an inch above. It doesn't have to be an inch or judges but you don't fill the sauna tube up. You just bring it up. Put enough concrete in to go to the top of the steel

    I'm willing to bet there's not a man among those guys that work for this guy that earns more than the 17 bucks an hour and I'll bet you half of them are on a 1099 with no benefits

    • @Bob-sy5gm
      @Bob-sy5gm ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I guess you never worked in the cement trade. A lot of these guys do labor and finishing as a side job along with their afternoon or midnight main job. They don't need benefits as they already have it with their main job. 1099 is just fine, If they even do that and not under the table. A friend and his father did it for decades, and the laborers/finishers would just jump from several different contractors. Actually the pay is pretty good for a finisher for a side job because the contractor doesn't have to keep them on payroll. Don't knock what you don't know.
