This is song is also a good one, however, in the bridge part (2:53) you have "Hell fix my eyes on Jesus Christ," In Heb 12:2 NLT It says, "We do this BY KEEPING OUR EYES on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne."
So it is not meant to be "He'll fix my eyes" but rather "I'll keep my eyes" I believe it is man's part to focus in on Jesus Christ...Another translation says "WE MUST KEEP OUR EYES on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete" (Contemporary English Version)

Like you I agree that we need to actively seek to fix our eyes on Jesus. However, it is God Himself who enables us to do that. The line before says, "Your Spirit is my help". Think back to before you were saved. You had no desire to fix your eyes on Jesus, yet once you were saved, once you became a new creation and had the Spirit of God inside you as your helper, your outlook changed.
Philippians 2:13 says "for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure." And Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
Keep your eyes on Him Jo Ann. He is worthy. God bless you.
