    Kuba, another BANGER. However, the interesting detail is that killing Ymir, a Creator God, was what led to the Rift being created. Maybe the Blades of Chaos, a Primordial weapon, can expand or create a Rift of it's own in the future? Blades of Chaos with Surtr's power + some Spark of the World magic, sounds like a good recipe to go back and kick Athena's butt! That would be sick!

  • @douvaman
    @douvaman ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i know what the mask is. we’ve established the mask is of greek origin since the words atreas spoke are greek, specifically a mix of ancient and modern greek, if you zoom in on the mask you see a mix of greek letters as well as some that can’t be identified, linear A is the first recorded alphabet that has never been translated, it originated from the Mycenaeans. the mask is linked to primordials since the crack was created after the death of Ymir. primordials existed in both mythologies. since they can never truly die the mask it’s just a key that unlocks the crack, wearing it does nothing, odin lost his eye because of what Kratos said: there are no shortcuts to knowledge. it’s essentially pandora’s box, if all these check out, then that means that the mask was created by the greek gods and it allowed them to access the minds of the primordials. now why is it split? remember GOW ascensions? 3 furies, above the gods, that deemed it too powerful for them, and they hid it at places where the greek gods couldn’t find them… and all these predate odin since it is implied that the war between Aesir and Vaneir happened 200 years ago, previous to that odin had 300 years of peace. kratos is at least 1.000 years old, as he was in both the trojan war, and the battle of thermopylae. kratos couldn’t know the language as it predates even him, also he never took the time to examine it. i commented this theory months ago to multiple youtubers and the next day they uploaded videos saying it was their idea, however… i left out some crucial parts… i hope you enjoy it

    4:00 - That makes sense since she was purified of the greed of the Titans by hope.
    5:25 - Last year, you said spirit was one of them. Where is spirit?! Also, Sophia is wisdom. You forgot to mention that.
    8:00 - It was stated that she was exposed to the madness of the titans after her death.
    9:15 - I don't think the Demiurge did anything before Ragnarök & the mask was his way of possessing a god & gaining a body to interact with the lower realm.
    My theories:
    1. Hope was given by the Higher plane, but the mask was created by the Demiurge to possess people & interact with lesser beings.
    2. Sun Wukong is the 1st to ascend, as both Buddhism & Taoism involve ascension, and he's both a Xian & Buddha.
    3. The Demiurge & Monad are the final antagonists of the series. They're both evil in their own way. Monad/Yahweh/Allah wants control & self-worship, while Demiurge wants chaos & pandemonium. Athena, Thoth, Thor & others will help Kratos defeat both.
    4. The next game will take place after Atreus retrieves the Giants. Either rogue gods of Hinduism, Shintoism & China kidnap giants on their way home & Sun Wukong makes Atreus & Angrboda his disciples, or All Father Kratos sends out Atreus on a diplomatic mission to the Celtic Lands, only to learn Dagda is invading The Roman Empire, an alliance of the Etruscan Civilization (rebuilt Greece), Egypt & Persia. Tyr tells of how benevolent the Olympians became after losing most of their worship & having to earn it back, so Atreus helps the leaders, Menrva (Athena's Etruscan counterpart), Horus & Ahura Mazda to defeat the Celtic invaders.

    I cannot help but think they are intentionally using the Mask here as the Mask of Loki from the 90s Jim Carrey movie, as ridiculous as it sounds. There's just far too many similarities. Bear with me here.
    Both are wooden masks with odd green lights that are closely tied to Loki. There's NO record of such a thing from Norse mythology, the only source they could have pulled from is the storyline used by the 90s comic/movie.
    I think what they are going to do here is use this mask in future games as a Macguffin. I think Athena is still playing some roles here.
    I think somehow Loki/Atraeus is the one who created the Mask, via some sort of time travel in a future game tied to Athena. The mask gets broken and scattered throughout the Realms just how Atraeus found them in Ragnarok.
    I believe the Realm that Odin saw in the rift was either OUR realm (4th wall) or this "Higher Plane" (maybe the same thing?), and that Kratos and Loki are going to bring about the Apocalypse End Times as dictated in many ancient mythogies.
    What this Multi-Pocalypse would be intended to accomplish, I don't yet have a guess.

    My theory about the rift under Odin's basement is that Athena probably broke open a crack in the reality in order to manipulate Odin into opening it up and cause some chaos trying to do so.
    I think Athena has always been manipulating Odin at the time when Kratos was coping with his trauma of destroying everything in Olympus.
    It probably took him 100 winters before he got to Midgard so there's that.
    And also Athena has been working behind the scenes for 100 winters trying to get Odin to find all the pieces of Loki's mask in order to crack open the rift even further.

    Personally, I like to believe that in the GOW mythos, on planet Earth there are rifts in between the different pantheons, and these invisible rifts originate from the higher plane of existence (which is where the demiurge is contained by the Monac).
    These rifts act as sort of mythological containers and separators. Each rift hold the unique geography, creation myths, spiritualities, magics and pantheons of each mythology. (This could also be why the rules of the Norse pantheon might not affect Kratos or Atreus).
    { Pleroma > higher plane > rift > physical universe (earth) }
    When people expand in the name of their gods, they also expand the rift (and therefore influence and territory) of their specific mythology. This is why wars are fought between cultures, because each pantheon is trying to gain more territory and worshipers over other pantheons (this would be the demiurge influencing the physical world).
    But most gods of these different pantheons are ignoring the possibility of peace, diplomacy and cultural exchange. This could allow all of them to grow simultaneously and achieve enlightenment.
    This is could be why the Monac is collecting worthy gods who show selflessness and are sending them to the higher plane. However, some gods in the higher plane fall to the influence of the demiurge. (because of their new found power) like Athena.
    The higher plane of existence acts as a further test to see if the chosen gods are worthy of entering pleroma when the time is right.

    Something I've been wondering lately is whether the Greek and Norse creation stories (as well as those of other lands) happen at the same time or if they happened separately from one another. If I recall, it's revealed in God of War: Ascension that the Greek world was created by the Primordials killing each other in a war, while the Norse world was crafted from Ymir's corpse by Odin after killing him. The God of War Wiki claims that Ymir (in addition to the Norns, Surtr, and Sinmara) are also Primordial beings in the Nine Realms. Whether or not Ymir & Co. are Primordials similar to Ouranos or Oceanos of Greece is, I feel, inconsequential-my main concern is whether the creation of the Nine Realms and Greece happened simultaneously because I've felt that for whatever reason the Nine Realms feel somewhat _younger_ than Greece. Not young enough that Kratos was around before the Nine Realms existed, but young enough that the Titans and Olympians would ultimately be an older pantheon than the Aesir or Vanir. I feel that it would be a bit weird from a lore perspective if that were the case, but from a real-world perspective, it would make sense given that the Norse mythology we know is much younger than the Greek mythology that's been handed down to us by the likes of Homer, Hesiod, and others.
    Another thought I've had is whether the mask, being wooden rather than metal or some harder material has any significance, including the language written on the mask that Odin needs Atreus to translate. Maybe it's connected to an even more ancient pantheon of deities, such as the theoretical one worshipped by the Proto-Indo-Europeans or another super ancient people group. None of this probably makes sense, but I'm throwing it out there anyway.

    I think the main key point was that Ymir, the first being in Norse realm was murdered by Odin. Ymir being the first being of the Norse realms, likely had a deeper connection to the plane of Higher Existence. The crack in the realm was likely what remained of Ymir's connection to that plane. The mask and its fragments in different languages probably signified that the plane of Higher Existence is connected to all the different pantheons, along with Ymir who might have been the progenitor of not just the Norse pantheon but other Pantheons as well, probably known in other pantheons as a different name or entity.

Even if he was able to recall how she appeared in his nightmare in GoW 4, I think there's simply too little information for him to make that connection. Something much more overt has to happen, more than likely whatever sends him to the next pantheon of gods. Whatever that is would most likely be sporting that same color and then the rule of three kicks in and he'll begin to make his connections.
