Black Diamond Solution Guide Harness Review

- Here's a review of a harness that I've been using for quite a while, I actually retired it from old age just recently and since it's lasted long enough in my gear collection to the point where it has to be retired I thought it would make a good video topic to talk about what I like and dislike about it.

I use the standard BD Solution harness. I like the fact that the guide has that additional loop in the back for, what I use, bringing up anchor building gear and rappel gear. I still use the solution as my main gym harness and for outdoors i use the petzl adjama. Hope all is well. Cheers!
I just ordered the guide to replace the solution after watching this vid, been wanting to for a while but now im sold lol $78 on backcountrygear too! I went one size higher than my last solution because I'm right in the middle of the size measurements and I have the same gear loop centering issues you have I think BD wants you to sinch it down tight for everything to line up. Hopefully the xl isn't too big though.
Edit: I just watched a harness sizing video by BD, they want the foam under the buckle and the waist strap to overlap for the proper fit, my current does not so its definitely too small. Hope this helps anyone with sizing questions!
Dude... it is SO time to get a new harness. A friend of mine passed away when repelling off his belay loop with no backup.
I agree, this was one of two videos I made with this harness, this one was talking about how the harness did over its lifetime. The other video I shot right afterwards was talking about when to retire gear. I stopped using this harness when I made this video

The solution guide harness came out in 2019, so at most you could have had it two years.
