Hi everyone, here’s one of my all-time favorite lakes in Austria. Gosausee is small but it’s a true gem. Go check it out when you’re in Austria 🇦🇹👍. Have a fantastic week!
@@kayanviola5 it’s the perfect place to do hiking. Not sure about camp sites. I haven’t seen any at the lake but I’m sure there are some good ones in the region

Hello Janus, how are you?😀 After a week waiting period, is watching your new video. It’s a enchanting place and make me relaxed. Thanks for your filming.
Hi Janus,l like Salzkammergut region .l visited 20years ago .l miss too much.l want to visit again.St gilgen beautiful.thank you for sharing.Greetings from Marmaris Selimiye village.🚣🚤⛵🚢
After looking at your stunning video, I booked Gasthof Gosausee for one night during our travel from the Netherlands to Croatia. Looking forward to see this beautiful place.
I have been following you from the switzerland trip and u are truly fantastic. Your video's are so beautiful and have a very calming effect. I wouldn't have know that this is austria if i didn't see the title. These places are so beautiful but unfortunately not as famous as swiss. I would really love to start traveling once situation normalize. Lots of love from India
Thank you so much Vishal. I’m really glad you enjoy my videos. I’m planning to showcase more of the less known places and countries going forward. There’s so much to see in Austria and neighboring countries - for a fraction of the price of Switzerland. Please stay tuned for more to come and greetings to beautiful India 🇮🇳👍
Oh I missed so many beautiful places in Austria. Enchanting lake, clear green water, peaceful scenery, humble villages. Looking forward to the next video as your channel is providing an abundance of beautiful places. Thank you from Indonesia, Janus!
Oh wow!! I am enjoying all your videos from this region. I think I like Gosau and Gosau lake the best. It’s indescribably beautiful. I also love how quiet and calm it is. I would love to visit just to hike and paint scenes. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you Min Min. I have been to Tyrol many times but didn’t cover it during my last trip due to time (and weather) reasons. Will make sure to record some videos from Tyrol next time I’m in Austria 👍
Hi Thanks for sharing this video. I am planning to travel to lake GOSAUSEE with kids from Salzburg. Please suggest which bus to take and does the bus stop in front of the lake? Also what will be the name of the bus stop? Is it good time to visit in May?
I think I mention the bus routes in my video. The bus takes you all the way to Gosausee. The weather in the Salzkammergut region is tricky. You can be lucky or you find a cloudy and rainy day. It’s hit or miss, especially in the shoulder months of April and May. If you can, plan your trip dates according to the weather forecast
Thank you Kevin, I had planned to go up but due to the weather I had to change my plans. The weather is quite unpredictable in the mountains. But I’ll surely go up to Dachstein next time I’m there
Yes, I have a whole series on Austria with much more to come 😊👍 My favorite region is the Salzkammergut around Salzburg in Upper Austria. But I really enjoyed Vienna too - such an amazing city!
@@pengqing8857 yes, it’s an alpine region so in many ways it is. But every country is also different. Austria is certainly much cheaper in terms of travel expenses. Please check out my videos over the coming weeks - followed by more from Switzerland - and I let you be the judge 👍😊
OMG, so many good places in this region. not sure how i'll fit it all in. i'll be renting a car from salzburg airport on a friday morning around 11am, spend the night in hallstatt then driving back to salzburg city the next day (saturday). initially, i was going to follow your map and stop in fuschl, gilgen, wolfgang and then on to hallstatt to catch the sunset. the next morning (saturday) i was going to do the saltmines in hallstatt. after that perhaps i also want to try to squeeze in gosau or traunkirchen/gmunden on the way back to salzburg (saturday) they both seem quite out of the way. do you think this will be too hectic a schedule to properly enjoy it all? or should i just spend the saturday exploring hallstatt more and give up adding another destination on the way back to salzburg?
Hi, this sounds quite ambitious but it can be done. You can certainly drive by all these places but with the caveat that you would not have much time to visit. Hallstatt itself is quite small and can be visited in about 2-3 hours. Have a great trip!
Yes, both are definitely doable in one day if you’re just visiting. If you plan major hikes around Gosau and to the Hintere Gosausee then you may need more time
@@januslog Thanks for the kind reply and when you visit these towns is public transport available to get to the lakes etc or you have to walk all the way?
