Simple Video 🙏 Love Jandy Equipment except the filter lid and drain cap. It’s 50/50 for me to screw them on correctly because theirs always a drip, magic lube saves the day.
So how do you avoid it dripping? What’s your preference is it tightened more aggressively or more moderately? A lot of filter casings actually need some what of some room to rise against the pressure. This type of system always gets me.
Sir how do you lube the seal on this type of filter casing? The seal is inside the threads and can’t be reached like normal filter casings! Thanks Spencer
its actually quite difficult without removing the ring entirely if not that I typically put a dollop of lube on a flathead screwdriver or the back of the magic lube tube and circle it around the ring not perfect but it works!
When you fully release the air before unscrewing the filter housing do you still need to drain it from the bottom? On my system I unscrewed the air purge cap and let it all and out and I hear all the bubbles wooshing through the pipes and I open the filter and there’s no water inside very little on the bottom almost nothing. This probably isn’t good I must have a leak somewhere ? I have the same CS jandy filter unit

When you open air release you create a siphon back to pool so water should drain out hopefully that helps
