It’s amazing how lighting can transform an area, when at the start you are walking through the traditional grey stonework areas that are lit mostly from the soffit area so under the roof and illumination is pointing downwards, this bleaches the grey colour of the stonework out but also highlights shadows in a way that make it resemble a feathered pocket duvet haha the walls look soft, I can guarantee they’re not but the lighting changes not just the colour but also texture. Maybe the porridge I had this morning contained more than just apple and raisins 😂
The Pavilion area of Prince Teng was very pretty, I loved how they lighted that, they accentuated the colours of the structure very well, I’m a sucker for green and blue tiled roofs too.
The traditional structures that are under lighted so the detailed roof supports are easily visible take on a very paper like look to them, it reminds me of the big paper lantern floats festival from Japans Aomori Nebuta Matsuri.
Thank you for sharing your tour around Nanchang.
Hope you have a great week and keep safe and healthy 👊

You're absolutely right with your comments. I've noticed this too all around London where I live and in places I've travelled to including China. I've tried to adopt this method to making the atmosphere around my home and garden look softer and warmer.
Thank you to Walk East for this great video. This is the city my wife grew up in.

Thank you for sharing another wonderful city in beautiful China. Your silent but lively approach & thoroughness to videos is very refreshing & greatly appreciated. Visiting beautiful China in 2017 & 2020 was very special to me & hope to visit again in 2022. Not sure because of the pandemic causes city shutdown & quarantine. It is worth the risk because China is so beautiful & amazing. I understood why the government shutdown & grateful to see they put safety of the people over profit. I truly have great appreciation & respect for beautiful China’s past & present. I cannot get enough of exploring this great country.

I wish i could show this video and say "This is France"... But hmp.. :/ Life is soo bad here todays.
At least, we can watch your videos and enjoy a bit of fresh and relaxing air. Seeing people living their life in happiness.
Is it cold in China now? As you get some snow last time, it's crazy to imagine that China is soo big that the climate can change soo much from 1 side to another XD
Good thing China do alots to preserve old things. So many beauty things that could dissapear, that would be a shame :O
Wish China the best. Cool and crazy country :D
I hope one day you will go in the more northest place in china, most east, west and south.. to see the difference between lands and tradition , that must be crazy :D
Thank you for the video, we really need this. Life is a real pain and country is a disaster here. You made us more happy than you can imagine with your videos.

拍摄、制作得真好,谢谢您。那熟悉的乡音和街道,游子思故乡啊!Welcome to Nanchang! ❤️ It's a second-tier city in China in terms of GDP shadowed by neighboring cities which enjoy a higher level of economic development. However, it has been catching up notably in recent years while retaining the original down-to-earth folk life in the meantime. And you will find a treasure trove of historic and cultural relics in Nanchang, and feel the sense of well-being, frankness, and hospitality among local people. Also do check out the spicy and mouth-watering Nanchang cuisine! If you like spicy food, you definitely will love it. 😍

We came to Nanchang for the marathon race a few years ago. We started out in the large stadium and passed by the giant ferris wheel to our hotel along the river. We did the Qiushi Square walk at night and during the day. Unfortunately, it was overcast the whole time so the distance videos and photographs were not good. The highlight might have been going to the shooting range where we got a chance to shoot and watching the Chinese Olympic women's team practicing. Nice video.

Finally got to watch this with my Wife. Her family lives fairly close to the palace. Awesome Cinematography. Brilliant Editing. No one else that I seen so far has mastered your unique artform, style. We really enjoyed it - Thank You again. The one question that we have is do any idea why in the backstreets towards the end of the video - it not busy at all? Kinda odd compared to what it was 15+ years ago. Its just not busy - compared to the rest of your videos...... Anyway - thanks again my friend......

You know, my friend, your encouraging feedback is so heartwarming.
I appreciate your words from the bottom of my heart.🙏
The backstreets is not busy because it's a late night and lots of people had fallen in sleeping.
Day time would be more busy than this :)
Thanks again for your nice response again!

    两年看下来老哥的运镜真是越来越好了,开篇的升格画面取景和构图看着和旅拍大片一样,BGM选的也好,总之太棒了。
    新一线城市好像只有杭州和成都没拍了,这两都是重量级,非常期待!
    最后请教一下老哥,升格片段用的是4K60帧还是1080/120帧的?看着非常舒服,这是松下的LOG格式拍的吗?色彩非常舒服!

    • @WalkEast
      @WalkEast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      感谢你的支持,确实也在不断尝试和学习中,升格都是用的4K60, 如果能用120帧肯定更棒,色彩用的HLG,松下的色彩科学我一直都很喜欢,感谢感谢

    南昌,历史悠久的文化古都,无论怎样赞誉都不为过,盛唐王博的《滕王阁序》更是登峰造极,前无古人后无来者。
    “豫章故郡,洪都新府。星分翼轸,地接衡庐。襟三江而带五湖,控蛮荆而引瓯越。物华天宝,龙光射牛斗之墟;人杰地灵,徐孺下陈蕃之榻。”
    尤以那句“落霞与孤鹜齐飞,秋水共长天一色。”最为脍炙人口。字字经典句句深邃,为后世文人墨客赞叹不已。
    近二十年,南昌的发展进入快车道,老区人文荟萃,新区现代宜居。我丈母娘就在南昌,这些年,每隔一两年就要去南昌。亲眼见证了南昌的快速发展。在中国可能不算什么,在世界上,这个城市的发展速度可以说是奇迹。
    圣诞节,我儿子和朋友去看了一场电影,元旦时就病了,后来是我太太,这几天是我。肯定是中招了。
    这个疫情,对多数人来说,就是重感冒。对少数人来说,则是致命的。感冒没什么可怕,但是这个病毒不断地变种,不断地推陈出新,这才是最可怕的。
    感冒好了,就有抗体,不会再得病。但是这个病毒,有抗体也会再次中招,打了预防针也会中招。
    美国社会的自私精神,这个疫情完全看出来了,我只管自己的自由,哪管死了八十几万人?

      原来大哥跟南昌如此有渊源,那真是发展神速。。。大哥对滕王阁序的赞叹我也深表赞同,确实是千古名篇!
      没想到大哥也中招了,多多保重,注意休息,早日康复!
      祝一切顺利!
