I have an '06 Solara SLE convertible coming up on 75K miles. Very comfortable ride, extremely easy steering, and what I would call the expected Toyota quality. We've had two Corollas and my wife had an earlier Solara hard top. I'm retired so the mileage is added slowly. Toyota recommends not using regular gas so that, in my opinion, negates using a V6 Solara for commuting. Best mileage for my Solara is cruising on the Pennsylvania turnpike at 65-70 MPH where mileage is 26. The most expensive maintenance has been a rusted out converter and accompanying rusted pipes and an oxygen sensor. On the downer side, the dash is cracking in many places around the radio/CD. Leather on the front seat side has worn away from being rubbed when exiting the car. Trunk leak. Ouch. A problem with Solara convertibles since drains are easily stopped up.
In early 2023 I bought a Pearl White 2008 Solara SLE Convertible with 62,000 miles. I put a Coverlay cover over the cracked dash that I had and it does OK. It does seem like it rides over bumps a little rough and I just wonder if others are having that same problem? I love the car and it gets a lot of complements driving with the top down!
Just bought an 05. Very excited about the summer and particularly having the top down on beautiful nights. I have owned over 180 cars and this is my first convertible.
Sadly, that won't ever happen. The venza came back because everyone is obsessed with SUVs. The only "Toyota" convertible new is the Lexus LC500. There just isn't a big enough market to warrant making them. And this is coming from someone who just bought an 07 SLE convertible last month.
Has your mom experienced any problems with the electric with 8 " android auto radio!? Thanks for sharing by the way ..Iam thinking of buying one of this.

Mike's Garage it might actually be the earlier models and 4 cylinder. Still trying to figure that out. If so, I would just wait til it went or around 100k. Most people say 90k is fine.

Since Toyota decided to revive the Venza nameplate; I think that they should revive the Solara nameplate.

The 3.0s are non interference. When it was enlarged to the 3.3 (04+) it became interference. Hope this clears it up.
