    Do you have a calendar of duties for your mushroom and micro greens? Ex: Monday is lab work Tuesday harvest day Wednesday block making day Thursday deliver day? I’m curious how you space out your days. Thanks. Love your videos.👍🏻

    Hey . what does your mushroom substrate consist of?

    • @JewellsGardens
      @JewellsGardens  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Лаборатория ЭкоГрибоводства г.Комрат It is 50/50 hard wood fuel pellets and soybean hulls. That is “masters mix”

      How much does the ready mushroom bag weigh? how many mushrooms give one bag?

    • @JewellsGardens
      @JewellsGardens  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Лаборатория ЭкоГрибоводства г.Комрат 10 pound bags and about 1.5 pound for gold about 2pound for blue

      You invested a lot in the laboratory. On the video you do not have a lot of mushrooms .... How do you pay for the investments? Is it profitable? We also produce mushrooms. We have 1 bag weighs 28 pounds, and the harvest from it is 7-8 pounds of mushrooms ... In one room we can collect 800 pounds of mushrooms per month. We have 800 pounds of mushrooms worth $ 520 ... To produce 800 pounds you need to spend 170-200 $ and this is not taking into account our work .. Is it profitable? what is the price of a mushroom? (Sorry for mistakes.) I do not know English. I use Google translator)

      Лаборатория ЭкоГрибоводства г.Комрат It is okay! I did this video 6 or 7 weeks ago and my grow room probably wasn’t as filled as it is today. Today I have 220 blocks and that is all I can do. I’m not a huge facility like you are. I’m small and do it myself so I will never do 800 pounds it’s impossible unless I work all day. I have a video on how much I spent. Last week I made $1200 which is about 10% of my investment. I would say I am profitable!

      Charles Cousino not necessarily true. They will harvest more steadily and have less contams at lower temperatures. Not all people want to rush the process.

    I’m doing my very first grow. I was nervous and trying to do everything right and then my dumb ass didn’t shake the syringe vigorously, I forgot to shake it at all. My substrate is separated I started September 24 2021 , it looks the same.. how do I know if they are colonizing? Is it real bad I didn’t shake the syringe? I have another one (syringe) .

    What do you just to colonize your spores? I have spore syringes and was wondering if I could inoculate/colonize in jars full of coc coir mixed with vermiculite?

    • @jadenr951
      @jadenr951 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need a grain in your jars not the substrate yet , that’s for later , get rye berries online or whole grains , millet grains for your jars and the syringes

      @@arnyarny77 yess I ended up growing a lot since this comment. The key is sterilization of everything and every move you make. Simply, some unwashed hands before handleing the jars would cause it. Be a stickler with sterilizatin and it works out :D

    I started growing about when you started putting videos out. I just grow for family but been toying with the idea of stepping it up. My main question for you is why you decided to do sawdust blocks for your oysters when it seems to me like it would be much more profitable to do them on straw pasteurized with lime, ash, or soap. Less in substrate costs and energy bills, and time. What am I missing? Thanks for what your putting out!!

    • @JewellsGardens
      @JewellsGardens  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      AB Brockus Great question! So for a hobby or growing for your family, straw is perfectly fine. It doesn’t produce nearly the same yield as fuel pellets & soybean hulls though. Not even close. Plus pellets are way less messy, lol! I know many many small commercial growers, and not a single one uses straw. Hope that helps!!!

    • @ashbrockus
      @ashbrockus 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jewell's Funky Fungi
      The people that sell them in my area use straw logs, and aloha medicinals has a write up on why they say it's the best way for a small scale farm. Im just trying to sort this all out because everyone seems right! Lol

    • @JewellsGardens
      @JewellsGardens  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      AB Brockus Yeah I’m sure there’s going to be no shortage of opinions! You know what- try both! Fair disclosure I’ve never done straw I just listened to my mentors like Eric & TR and others and not a single one uses straw so I didn’t need to reinvent the wheel. Eric (Myers Mushrooms) would be a great person to ask because he used to grow on straw when he grew a small amount and then he switched. Let me know what happens (I guess the only way to compare would be on spawn amount...like using a cup of spawn on supplemented sawdust/fuel pellets and a cup on straw but I have no idea how much straw you would need)
