    The contrast between S&S Swans and modern Frers Nautor Swans could hardly be larger… Boats made for sailing adventures and the other floating Gin Palaces for the wealthy to be transported from one chic port to the next…

    Glad Tapio is ok after he lost Asteria in the Golden Globe race. New adventures are waiting!

    How yachts have changed since Galiana was built. I have sailed for over five decades, probably not a sixth. I remember when Francis Chichester tried to prove that he could do a 200 mile daily run after his circumnavigation. Now we sail faster than the wind, not in my old Contessa. If you ever get short on crew and need a 70 year old sea dog let me know? Bon Vayoge.
