I can verify that it is true! Also, a new website is going up called "Save the Freakers!" and they are asking for donations and telling people that soon hordes will be on the endangered list! Seriously, though, after reading his guides to how to start the game by taking out four hordes with nothing but what you can acquire at the start of the game, I got the SMP-9 and ended up at Tucker's Hot Springs Camp. I found a new horde nearby, and said, "well lets see what he recommends against this one." I was amazed at the first method! I had no clue that water slows down freakers like that! Borislav is just brilliant, and he makes me feel like I'm dumb as a rock in this game after I see him show how to do stuff efficiently! Thank you for another amazing video, Borislav!
I try to take hordes my own way, but still watch these videos because u come up with very interesting and nice methods for horde killing. U've really put a lot of time and efforts in this game brother.

Excellent work again!! Used the water technique, the gun recoil meant I could not kill them as efficiently in water so had to use two frags and a pipe bomb to thin out numbers!! Love your videos, will keep commenting to help out but you have enhanced the game for an average player by giving options to take down hordes!!
Just so happened to hear this horde as I was exploring after visiting. Lobbed explosives on em without ever being spotted, made me happy 😁 I love stealth kills

Well professor more ways to devisate s horde!! I was always weary of going in this cave as they come at you from two different ways. Loved the water method as they vant get to you at speed. As i mentioned in your last video i love dragging hordes towards camps. And this is a prime example. You dont have to even get them into a camp. Tuckers camp is so close that if you get them close to it a heavy machine gun takes them out from the camp without a problem. I dont think calling you professor quite cuts it. I think Sensei is better. Keep em coming my friend.

Excellent video guide, I did the easy kill version but only half came out so I went back for the rest, unfortunately one of the big breakers was there so I had to deal with him first before finishing off the rest. Praise to the sm9.
Easy kill 2 is the best way. I usually do one of Sarah's missions in the afternoon, clear out the freakers, hang around grabbing resources and waiting for them to make their way over, finish them and head back to Tuck's camp with a whole bunch of ears.
that makes a lot of sense & saves a lot of time as well RFC. When I go for my next playthrough, that's highly likely the way I'll go about getting them, especially if you are playing on survivor II and don't have the luxury of fast travel.
@@billykingi321 It will indeed. I record all my Days Gone content from a PS5, but I use a PS4 disc to play the game. It automatically gets upgraded (with an update from Bend Studio) to playing at 1080p, and at 60fps as standard on the PS5, so you're all good. You can also play this game on the PS5 in 4K. Some of my shorter videos on Days Gone, I show in 4K, and all from using a PS4 copy of Days Gone.
Great videos .. I've watched lots of days gone.. I never seen a tip of at Sarah's so called grave site .. the first time when I leave I believe there is a blue truck .. I move it forward . So makes a nice shortcut. I thought of that cause you go there like +4 or more times
I agree, as you can only move most hordes so far (the Iron butte horde being the exception of course) . It would be awesome if you could move the Sawmill horde with their crazy numbers.
Great strategy. I could not take them all down in the water, they would push each other to land but I use some resources to get it done before it got out of control. 😅
I've got an easy way on this horde. Go at their drinking ground, hide behind a cabin to the left behind the horde. Crouch down to the left front before throwing two attractors next to each other. Wait for all the freakers to bunch up and throw 2-3 napalm moltovs on all of them and bam. Done and dusted
I don’t get it…. I slightly deviate from your plan, but only get half the horde to come towards me. You make it seem so easy, but it doesn’t work unless you do it perfectly like you. Thanks for the guide, but I’m not as perfect as you do it.
It's just practice on my part mate, plus, I have the luxury of being able to record the best runs to put on these videos. Anything can go wrong when taking on these hordes, as you well know.
This is only possible after you have completed the main Days Gone Story (reaching end credits). After this, any remaining hordes you have left to take out will have the 3 locations marked on the map everytime when you get near their locations.

I've been considering this for a while and it may happen mate. But unlikely this year as my horde series is taking top priority. I do have a full playthrough of Days Gone on my channel, but, it's on the hardest difficulty level, so may not help beginners.
NW 3 is so easy but VERY difficult for me to gather their attention. i had to go to several other nearby areas to finally knock them all off. But I was thinking "Hell, I'll just grab these ears and come back another time to farm em all but I don't think you can do that from the info I've gathered. Seems very hit and miss-the info, that is.
You find that the world of Days Gone respawns stuff around every 3 days in the Days Gone world, but it also seems to get rid of stuff at this time also. This could be what has happened here mate.

Like some people have said that taking out say 99 of a 100 horde then coming back 10 days later, or so, will result in another 99 added to that 1 remaining not bc of respawning but bc of just, well, more freaker drifters gathering along with them. Then some people say there will only be the 1 left then you have that mini horde, well what initially seemed like a mini horde that ABSOLUTELY respawns at the Belknap Caves Ambush Camp. I got lucky and used them to take out the camp then I killed them twice since and they have gotten MUCH larger than the first time I nabbed em as I was going for a third. I think it was probably 20 at the initial discovery point. I've even seen a vid on it. Yep ONE.....one single vid on that "Unofficial (?)" horde being used to farm. So far it's the one place that has me sketched out more than the others bc I never know wtf they're up to when I get over there. The one thing that really has me scratching my head is it seems EXTREMELY difficult to find any kind of certain specific vids on some things like types of mods. I'd REALLY like to find a mod that let's me control the time I wake up more efficiently. I mean these guys are buying, and making, everything including the kitchen sink, we can't get an alarm on a watch? HAHAHAHA Shit just look at how Project Zomboid handles that. OMFG it's genius. If you don't check all the watches you're carrying to disarm the alarm WHEW you could be in for a massive world of hurt. HAHAHAHAHA! That's a FANTASTIC aspect of that game.
Good way to take them out. This horde can potentially be taken out very early game when heading to Sarah's rock for the very first time (as you work through the nero camp) as this horde is unlocked as soon as you start the Days Gone game.
Did the first method get patched or something? They were running through the water when I tried it, I still managed to kill them but they were not stuck at all.
I've watch a few of your videos now and I've noticed you are able to throw an attractor and the hoard goes to it even if they've already spotted and been chasing you. How is that possible? Every time i've tried, if i've already been spotted they just ignore it and run for me.
A lot of it comes down to the size of the horde & the distance from the horde when the attractor lands. If you have a large horde (anything over 100 strong), then you can be assured that you will still get freakers chasing you. If you throw an attractor and it lands where a freaker is just running past it, they will continue to run past it and chase you. You really need to make sure you are well away from the horde, and when the attractor is thrown, run well past it. that's what usually brings most success with these bad boys.
You only get the horde positions marked on the map after you have completed the game (seen the end credits). After that, any hordes still left to take out will be shown on the map.
For once I’m brave enough to sit out at night without hiding in a bush and they don’t show 😂 Of course. I’m at Sarah’s grave, using the NERO body dump. Took out marauders that were here, forgetting Tucker has the quest here to save Rose. Not sure if that’s stopping the horde from spawning but I’ve waited two nights and they haven’t come to feed yet. Just normal swarmers coming out of the nest I still haven’t cleared in the small building before the radio tower. EDIT: As I said this, I thought “what is that bee droning noise?” And on my third night here, the horde came up the hill. I was *just* about to jump down, collect Freaker ears, then go run back up to get my bike… thank God I didn’t or I’d be well and truly fucked lmao.
You actually can mate. Once you have completed the main game & taken out all the hordes & completed all the nero missions, if you press the options button to bring up menu options, you will see at the very bottom a reset option. When you select this, you have the option to reset the hordes, ambush camps, infestation zones & missions. You can reset them all or just reset the hordes. The fun goes on mate. Hope this helps.
Bend Studio haven't done anything to this game this year, and I took out this horde from the Nero body drop area less than 2 weeks ago, so it ain't been patched. I play on a PS5 mate, so if you're playing on the PC version, I've no idea about that one.
@borislav247 yeah I do all my hordes in day and completed all of them except this one. I finally got it to spawn at night. I dunno what was wrong with it lol. Thanks for the videos tho

One of my favorite hordes is this one. Kudos for taking out the Breaker before finishing the horde. Those big MFs can be a problem.

I took them out from their feeding location. Stood on the ledge above them and dropped an attractant Bomb, some napalm Molotov and grenades

It hasn't been patched mate. Just make sure you use the same area water wise as I do.

Surprised to hear this for THIS horde. Just make sure you are looking for them during the Daytime, and they will be in the cave close to Tuckers Camp.

Theres no horde in the cave
Make sure you visit them during the day between 9 & 4. Outside of those hours, this horde is usually out and about.
