@@colinsteedartist I just found your channel. Quick question. Do you think, say, 6 tubes of top quality Artist's watercolour is a better starting point than 12 tubes of student quality? I'm thinking in terms of brilliance, spreading power etc. Thanks.
Your brush control for the various types of foliage on the trees is brilliant, going to have to see if I can find that brush! Good to watch artists at work like this to learn, also nice to watch the process just as as end in itself! Thanks for sharing your process in these videos!
It always surprises me how much you detail you get from those mop brushes! I’ve just ordered two to try myself. Thanks again, your trees are brilliant.
Great fun watching you paint ,love watercolor ! I’m going to try it soon ,after I watch a few of your videos and learn a few things ! Thanks so much for a great lesson ! Painting looks lovely !
Thanks for sharing amazing achievement of your allotment painting Colin, always great to see you creating such detail depth and colours from your loose sketch on location. Greatly appreciate your advice and inspiration clearly explained throughout the video 👍🤠🙏
I love how the shadows pull blobs of colour into believable forms. It's a subtle kind of magic, really.
Thank you. I love painting shadows. They give any subject, form, and depth. Thank you for watching 🎨🤠👍.

@mesolithicman164 Yes, the professional watercolours are so concentrated you don't use as much. They are worth paying the extra money.

I had a feeling that might be the case.
Thanks.
