I lived in Gabs back in 2011 had a great time there,it took me a month to learn setswana but yeah Bantu languages are similar..miss the joint
Oh nice!!! Hope you made unforgettable memories there 🥳🥳
And that you still remember the language haha
@@SheikhaCollette I still speak a little bit of it tho I now understand more that I can speak
This is good babes
Thank you mommmmy!!!!!♥️
Beautiful couple, keep it up
Thank you so much 😊
The tricky thing with the Shona language is that over the years, with the mixing of foreign languages etc, it has become heavily diluted with slang, English and most common of all, shortcuts. "Ndogona" is actually supposed to be "Ndinogona" to name but just one of thousands of examples. So I'd understand how tricky it would be to teach someone the language. Great effort though, quickest way to learn is to just listen to your in-laws conversing, you'll learn a lot that way, these Bantu languages sound the same anyway.
So true hey! It’s usually like that (diluted) in most languages. I’m learning though, soon I’ll be fluent 😄
I love this couple xem
Awh thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️
Very beautiful we love you, I'm Zimbabwean who have never been in Botswana but I can speak sestwana

I like this couple, they motivate us. My girlfriend only speaks English and Afrikaans. The day I hear a Shona word from her mouth, I think I will collapse.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 please don’t collapse! I’m sure she’s secretly learning so she surprises you soon 😌
@@SheikhaCollette she won't. She doesn't even speak her mother tongue. She only speaks English and Afrikaans.
Whats her mother tongue - if you don’t mind me asking
Wow, your husband's Setswana mma o kgaratlhile. Rea leboga Mkhwenyana🤜🤛
😃😃😃😃o lekile Akere?? And he has improved alot from this time
My cousin brother, who travelled from Zimbabwe through, villages, Francis Town to Gaborone on a business trip in the 1990's , said many years ago, Botswana women are beautiful, open minded and had no problem to enter the living room full of Uncles, grandparents even the father and brothers, just wearing a kind of mini skirt and bare breasted topless in front of of everybody. In Zimbabwe it is still impossible for a women /girls to do that 2023. During that time the Zim dollar was stronger than the USA Dollar and basic products were much cheaper in Botswana. Even colgate toothpaste. He would bring cartons of them and sell at 10 times the price on the black market. 1 zim dollar was around 100 Pula.
1 zim dollar, 100pula! Wowwww!!! Those were the days! I remember a lot of people back then used to leave botswana to study in zim 🥳🔥
Makadii mdhara sent me😂😂❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Waaaaaaaaal your shona is coming up

😅
😄😄
Makadii mudhara😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 iv heard people in the streets use that mudhara word a lot 🤣🤣🤣
@@SheikhaCollette It's correct but not very formal. It's more on the slang side. It's derived from the Ndebele word "uMdhala," for old timer.
🤣🤣🤣
♥️♥️♥️
Don't worry you will get it
Shona is the easiest language
Thank you so much ☺️
What a pity we dilute our own native dialects for so called Shona, what happened to the beauty in our different languages? Karanga, Ndau, Zezuru, Kore kore, Manyika, Barwe etc?
What’s your tribe brother , where are you from (kumusha) , what’s your totem ,
