Whoever segment producer James Stolz is, I salute you. Connie may have read the script, but I get the feeling this was a labor of love from someone in the background.

I heard “Flat Foot Flewzy” on WHCN/Hartford one night in late 1970 or early ‘71. I was 13. Haven’t been right since.😊

Saw them 4-5 times at Toad's Place in the 1980's...Wow!!!! Greatest live band I ever heard. And you always knew they were having a blast playing for people. Joyous, gifted, fun showmen...all of them. Unforgettable band.

The most underrated band in history. Their best lineup was Al, Terry, Joey and Tom.

Loved these guys ! Still do . I am a Picker and in Early 90's Al made list of Greates Guitarists of 20th Century. This was no easy feat as the Editors broke it down by not only genre but lots of X Factors . They said about Al ." He gobbles up styles from Chet to Chuck but on any given night nobody rocks harder 365 Days a year. "

About 20 years back, I caught the boys at a little place on Granville St., Vancouver. Terry had this funky, beat up trumpet, sitting on top of his keys, all show. For their encore, Tommy came forward, no drums & sang, the David/Bacharach composition, "This Guy's In Love With You". When they got to Herb Alpert's trumpet solo, everyone took a shot at the instrument, passing it full circle, back to Tommy, who played the lead...my sides and face were so sore from smiling & laughing, that the shear ecstasy almost killed me! Now that's how I wanna pass...thanks, Tommy!

Terry Adams in an Arby Q came through Dallas Back in 88 at the Dallas alley Boiler Room I was lucky to get to go see them it was free even anyway he signed a copy of their first album and so did Joey spam Pollito. My brother bought the album back in 1969 so it has been a part of my life since then. It is a killer record probably their best. John Sebastian says that he is a real good friend, of Terry Adams and that he even has a song called my buddy Terry. Very cool

It's great that the band was getting some well deserved recognition. IMHO, One thing missing though was their beginning and a mention of Steve Ferguson.
Here's a home recording in Louisville from 1966; Early recording of Steve Ferguson and the Humanitarian's doing their "Outer Space Boogie"; and probably his last recording--with Terry Adams

pit2ryan3 He means that the music industry and MTV were churning out homogenized food that's all the same with no flavor, no taste, and no cultural legitimacy. He's talking about music as corporate product that's a poor imitation of the "real thing" with no "nutritional value."
