This is definitely the origins of fake plastic trees. They (Belly) toured together in May 1993 when Thom joined in on "untogether". Very similar structure and chords to fake plastic.

tanya donelly is a fucking legend in her own right. she and her sis kristin hersh and their band throwing muses were an intrical part in helping shape the path for alt scene. after throwing muses,she went on to work with kim deal on the breeders' first album pod which has become a classic and from there formed belly and recorded two very classic albums star and king. this was at a time when both radiohead and belly were joint headliners for their NA tour of their debut albums. as far as dating.....i believe he and rachel were already dating at this point so i don't think they were.

he and rachel were together for 23 years upon their breakup in 2015 which would have put them together when this took place. now whether it was casual early on i dunno. but i don't see this as making out.

I was at this! Radiohead blew the doors off the place, and then Belly burned the house down. The back of the PAT bus was like, "Dudes, the 'Creep' band is so good we're gonna have to start actually calling them Radiohead."
