Funny ive got a sears vac identical that hasnt had a filter since ridgid told us to takje the filters out of our vacuums we used for automotive detailing 7 to 10 years ago ! Its still running great today. The vac has to be from the 90s !
Just use the nut without the plate from the old filter….? I could not find my original nut but as with you I think the nut that came with the filter may just compress around the threads to hold it tight enough. Nice video!
I had the same issue, I drilled a hole in the stud and put in a cotter pin. Been working fine.
