Regardless how it ended, he did bring a toughness to the dolphins Defense that put them on a 7 game win streak a few years ago. I do prefer if they’d hire him as the Defensive coordinator though so he wouldn’t get spread to thin because he seriously elevated Minnesota s defense .
I find it hilarious how Tony goes from I WANT SOMEONE MEAN AND A WINNER to just casually being like this is the locked on jaguars podcast welcome to segment lmao!!
I was a big fat no on Flores...the drama....but u have given me food for thought about people learning....if i could see a "turning point" in Flores thinking, i might could be swayed....
What drama? The OWNER is shady and it was implied HE DID tongue in cheek talk to Coach Flores about intentionally losing games. Stop trying to give Brian Flores a bad wrap because he did fine in Pittsburgh and has done great defensively with the Vikings even though they layed an egg as a team in the playoffs.
This has a lot to do with old school vs new school mind set. They say you can’t coach players the way that you used to. Maybe the teams that win the most are the ones who are still tapped into that old school coaching.
I'm just worried about how Trevor would handle a coach like Flores. He doesn't strike me as someone who gets the best out of himself when he gets yelled at.
Flores is not a winner, what are you talking about? Hes just another .500 mediocre retread. Enough with the retreads. And his blitzing defense will get picked apart in the AFC with all the elite mobile QBs in it. The only reason the NFC north looked so dominant this year is they each got 4 wins vs the worst division in football, the AFC South. Detroit was legit but MN and GB were fools gold, and we saw that on Monday
Naw I'm good on him. That dude didn't draft Trevor and it's going to be the same thing that happened in Miami when Trevor eventually fumbles again and throws a overthrow interception. You think Doug didn't have Trevor's back. This dude would probably be like " Who's Trevor?" 😂
Is Andy Reid not "soft"? Hell, Pederson won a Superbowl being soft. I don't think that's the issue. I'm still very much against Flores. You can be hard but you should never be disrespectful and hurtful. Some of the things he said were absolutely ridiculous to hear coming from a head coach to his players. I wouldn't trust him with he keys to the franchise. Give another person a shot. If we go DC, Aaron Glenn is the guy.
Brian Flores fined Ryan Fitzpatrick $800 for being 0.8 pounds over weight at weigh-ins, when he was almost 40 years old and previously lead the team in rushing yards. Dude is a joke
we not baby sitting Trevor anymore no coach can make him after four years he makes to much money Sam Donald's won 10 games they still got rid of him he needs to go to Los Angeles rams where he can a modeling job's on the side commercials etc. this is blue collar country with a winning team we can become the next biggest city in Florida.
All the TLaw hate from these fans is insane but i figured it out jags fans don't know what an actual QB looks like the team around him sucks with the exception of maybe 3 good offensive players get TLaw an big aggressive healthy oline a true # 1/2 wr and the offense would've fine with competent coaches. On the other side of the ball fire everybody on that defensive staff hire a competent DC sign or draft the players that fit the system get help in the middle of the dline a CB that has size see Tyson Campbell Cisco will be fine if they play him at ss go sign a FS preferably Jevon Holland kick ass in the draft and the jags could possibly win thus week division next year this isn't rocket science it's football😊
@ the problem with hiring a defensive minded coach you have to replace the offensive coordinator constantly if he is good you don’t have to worry about that with a offensive minded coach and shad Kahn said himself their going to hire a offensive minded coach
@ do you honestly believe he can develop a QB all of his former QBs are saying he’s terrible at developing QBs and the problem with hiring a defensive minded coach is that if you hire a good offensive coordinator he’s most likely leaving to be a head coach and your constantly having to find new offensive coordinators I rather have a offensive minded coach we would not have to worry about that
I don't think flores is a horrible person but his flaws are widely known. He failed in his 1st nfl head coaching job and when he got treated like most other head coaches in his situation, he claimed racism. That does not seem like a guy who has the mindset to build a healthy strong winning culture. I think other people in miami share some of this blame and it wasnt all on flores but when your back is against the wall you show who you really are and i think flores made an emotional decision that put one of his major flaws on display. Also belichicks coaching tree has not been super successful. I think the jags should stay away from it and find their own direction. Just my 2 cents.
I completely disagree. The Jags are sorry and lackadaisical. Flores would at least inject some toughness and focus into them. And despite being a hardcore dolphins fan I actually sided with Coach Flores in his suit. On record the owner HAS been shady like getting docked that first round pick for talking to Brady. Besides there is a list of coaches that have bombed out in their first stint as head coaches and got chance after chance again. Coach Flores shouldn’t be treated any differently. Annd coincidentally, his insight about Tua was on the money. You absolutely do not draft an undersized QB with serious college injuries who doesn’t have a strong arm. Now they are financially stuck with him the next three or four years.
That's not what the lawsuit was about. You build a winning culture by winning, not being the players or the media's best friend, and especially not by tanking games. Miami owner asked him to tank for draft picks, and he refused. That's the kind of courage we need here.
@tfishr so if you like flores I get it he definitely has some things going for him. I happen to think he just dosent offer what the jags organization have been saying they are looking for. That being said his lawsuit was 100% about him believing he was "racially discriminated" against. Those are his words not mine. I'm not sure that's what he accused the dolphins of but he definitely accused the broncos and Elway of that so, no I'm not a huge fan of that.
@@ghostoflil9662 Ben Johnson is a retread HC? Mcvay is a retread HC? LaFleur ? Campbell? How about bringing in a guy who is young and has a new way of looking at thing vs brining in a guy who's been fired because he sucked the last time he was a HC

“Discipline knows no boundaries”-The edge is real.
Thank you for mentioning Coughlin, that is who i thought of immediately. You laid it out straight. We need a leader not a pow wow guy.
Same…need a taskmaster that isn’t afraid to lead instead of coddling players.

The owner created that toxic environment.
Flores is a man of conviction and a good coach. He is responsible for changing the Dolphins culture. I believe he is what the Jaguars need.
Are Jaguars just not going to interview Ben Johnson while everyone else is?
We did last Friday on zoom
PREACH!!!!!
You cooked with this video 🔥 Arron Glenn Brian Flores or McCarthy

Wigg Duvalllll'ism came out today!!
What would stop the jags from getting the coach they want?
I'm just worried about how Trevor would handle a coach like Flores. He doesn't strike me as someone who gets the best out of himself when he gets yelled at.
6:54 he wanted Herbert and got Tua. Bet Miami wish they had Herbert with McDaniel.
Anyone but Flores

Doug was and is SOFT
@@stephenhardy2469Doug won a Superbowl being soft. Andy Reid is soft.
Dolphins were intentionally sabotaging everything against him.
Actually watch the games and not just go off what you hear! In 3 seasons he turned Miami around so what are you talking about?
@birdng1 ?
Wish Mike Tomlin was in the mixed
As a DC yea..HC no..doesn’t make sense
Why are they not considering Mike McCarthy.

Flores personality too strong for Ballke therefore he will convince Shad not to hire Flores
Rather have him than Saleh
No to Flores. Lateral move, you never do this. You move up! Johnson or Glenn. In that order, at this point.

Thinking Trevor will be a big NO to Flores !
The proof is in the pudding. So where is the pudding or the proof that he is a good coach?
He is who I want.
It doesn't matter who they bring in we're not going to a super bowl who cares anymore

I'm convinced. Let's get Brian Flores. We need a coach that scowls at people, and wins football games, not popularity contests.
Flores and draft the running back from boise
They are not hiring a defensive minded coach it would make zero sense they can’t develop QBs it’s going to be a offensive coach that gets hired
lol we did that already
