I'm dyslexic & so I can tell you that is a really dumb & insulting comment to make! dyslexia makes it harder to learn to read, it does NOT make you stupid, in fact most dyslexic people are extremely smart as they need to figure out how to manipulate their way thought school with poor reading abilities. I personally memorised ever individual word in the English language - without even realising I was doing anything special. I was tested as an adult to have the reading ability of an 8 year old & having no idea the sounds made by double vowels or most concenents, ie the skills needed to "read". If I was given the option to have advisers available at my whim, just to give me whatever knowledge I wanted, I would have a BALL! I'd be staying up late every night with a different adviser, having them give me private lessons on all the stuff I struggled with at school, or that has interested me to learn since.

I'm from France's neighbour and frenemy to the north, which just so happens to also be one of the closest allies of the US. Although I'm from a low income background, I went to a private school. I received a very large bursary, but even then, my family only just managed to afford the fees. The school I attended has a strong military tradition, as many of its former pupils served in the First and Second World Wars (as well as the Korean War), and many were killed in action. There is a War Memorial in the centre of its Quad. I opposed Saudi Arabia even before Khashoggi, because it is clear that its regime espouses the very ideals that many alumni of my school made tremendous sacrifices to defeat during the First World War. I can totally see why Macron isn't the least afraid to stand up to the Saudi Crown Prince, because it was in the northern parts of his country where some of the bloodiest battles of the First World War took place.

As a French citizen, seeing Macron as the face of the West's moral leadership is a hilarious notion. He's smarter than your president for sure, but just as arrogant, out of touch, and all around bad as 45 - if not worse (because more subtle and insidious). Basically, he just doesn't embarrass us on the world stage.
