Why in Heaven's name have I just discovered this? Dean Martin is one of my absolute FAVORITE American singers. To hear his song covered by the greatest voice in Mexico and the legendary Tony Bennett is a thing of beauty. I knew the two as living in completely seperate musical worlds, but seeing them all connect is incredible!

Viví en San Francisco durante gran parte de mi juventud y lloro cada vez que escucho a Tony Bennet cantar su famosa canción. Ahora vivo en México y he aprendido a apreciar y amar la música ranchera. Hemos perdido a Chente demasiado pronto.

His death, though tragic, was more a celebration than it was complete tragedy, Juan Gabriel, Michael jackson, john lennon, aaliyah, etc was a tragedy because the news of their deaths took us all by surprise. He lived such a full life, he retired from music because he couldn't sing anymore. His voice finally gave out after 50+ years. Again, He retired from music lol. How many times do you hear that?? So no, it's not too soon.
