The area of the airport is influenced by a trade wind. This wind kicks in from anywhere between 1500 and close to 0 feet. A tail wind or a no wind condition rapidly changes to a headwind which is sometimes strong. If the shear is too much an aircraft becomes “unstable” and sometimes overspeed occurs. Then the pilots usually go around and try again or divert.
Greetings from Tenerife, nice video,it seems that wind was blowing from the african continent, hence the haze, yes TFS experiences sone wind shear issues, but I think that pilots are well trained, you have the famous voice wich tells you the rate of descent " one hundred, ninety, eighty, etc"
Thanks for watching, and to clarify, I didn't miss the Aeroflot A330. th-cam.com/video/vSjS7RE5dPI/w-d-xo.html Check out my other compilation & skip to 37:34
Fantastic video my friend!
Thanks for the visit I really appreciate it.
Awesome shots Jonathan, you did a good job even though the wind was very strong :) well done!
Thanks, Mylos, I appreciate that. It was hard going but worth the effort. Cheers 😁👍
Nice spotting Jon, some really windy arrivals in there, liked!
Thanks, mate, there certainly were. Plenty to see.

Quite often they will have a tailwind on the approach until final when it suddenly drops or turns into a slight headwind.
It is quite interesting.
Great video

I don’t know if it’s just me or do the Ryanair planes seem faster then all the others?
Probably as most are heading to Spain or southern Europe whereas the others are heading further afield to the likes of the UK.
We had one today in tenerife
Very nice 👍
