    I run an 11/13 week 7... week 8 I go to 10/14 and lower ppfd for week 9... works wonders on long running strains. Also find it allows more trichromes to ripped before amber starts

    I remember I asked you which lights I should go for It was either the fc8000 or the new mammoth lights and you told me to go for the new mammoth so I went with the new mint white leds from mammoth. I'm still waiting for them to ship. I don't regret my purchase at all. Plus your videos show how good the mammoth is.

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mammoth is up there with the best grow lights currently made in my opinion. Yeah it costs a little more. But you are getting the most efficient diods and drivers. A great build quality. They stay on top of the science and make new lights to stay on top of things. Also the customer service has been amazing. If you have an issue. Hit them up on IG and/or their email and you get a replacement part sent out in a couple days. If you can afford the little extra they charge, you definitely get your momeys worth.

    So my understanding from this is: If you have untense lighting, go 10/14, but if your lights are weaker, stay with the 12/12. Am I getting that right?

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not exactly. I run intense lighting at 12/12. But you can push harder with a shorter day period since the DLI is based on the total throughout a 24 hour period. This was also a bit of a test since i needed to speed up flowering due to the reveg issue ii had from the lighting controller failure

    • @UrbanGardeningWithD.A.Hanks14
      @UrbanGardeningWithD.A.Hanks14 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TriStateTrichomes I decided to flip my two runt Sugar Pusses early. I have three cheap LEDs overhead; almost touching. They'll do okay, but it's nowhere near intense. After watching this, I moved the timer 30 minutes, to try this at 11.5/12.5. I'll let you know how it turns out.

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UrbanGardeningWithD.A.Hanks14 If the lights are not very strong i would try to keep the light on period as long as possible to increase total light in the day also called DLI (daily light integral)

    • @TriStateTrichomes

      @@TriStateTrichomes ya, I like mammoth so far, but I'm also looking others with spectrum controlling and uv/ir controlling as weeks go by as well like Kind, and medicgrow asking with Fohse, trying to make up my mind what's good enough for what I only need

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davedefrost2174 Unless you know what ratios are best at each phase of the plants life its probably a feature thats not needed. I personally believe we have too much control over all these lighting variables and we dont know enough to use them all properly. Its an issue of too much control currently. This is just my opinion though and thats why i wouldnt pay more to get spectrum control. Everyone has their own taste and any good quality light will work great. find one you like the design and qualities of and get that one. so if nothing else you are happy with your purchase.

    • @davedefrost2174
      @davedefrost2174 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TriStateTrichomes ya. I don't what agree, naturally flowers take months to develop more slowly and take their time, it seems we are finding out the fastest ways to force it shorter, but curling spectrum I do believe is helpful when you get into the plants psychology and physiology, like changing the direction to spring summer and fall and controlling temps with it, many growers now are doing it and testing it out, one company has great results doing so with Kind X 750 and another company gruyere using the Fohse A3i and birth have grown about 40 crops to improve and perfect through trial and error to perfection.
