Wow, great podcast guys! Subscribed! Particularly loved Walter’s super dry humour. 😂 Tagged him immediately as a fellow Canadian with his first “about”.
Elderly care, for the last 35 years has been my main interest and hope for future ai and robotics. We don't live in tribes anymore, so many are left to spend the end years alone in a world they don't understand too well. Not all mind it I suppose. And some prefer a recluse's life. But damn, if you've been stuck with one that used you to ramble at, geez. Not everyone will be able to afford an assistance either. Probably wouldn't be able to afford a robot either but maybe they'll litter the the future with them and maybe money won't be so much of a thing.
Well we hope in someway there is a world of abundance in the future where the people who would need stuff like this can get it, of course who knows if we'll let that even be possible.
Oh my Hume is really top tier right now, in terms of natural conversation. Definitely the best I've heard live and in my hands. The voice in the Tesla robotics thing where it did some tasks while talking to the human guy sounded great, but who knows how live that was. Entertaining informative show here guys!
That fried chicken with honey chili sauce sounds pretty good, I might give it a shot eventually. Recipes for Humans, lol why am I reminded of that one Twilight Zone episode 👀?
@@AIForHumansShow Ohh yess, some months ago I asked ChatGPT to give a list of recipes that could be made in a traditional Colombian caldero, then had it expand out on a few that sounded good. The result in that case was quite good, a one pot arroz con pollo

Stealing some pieces of that workflow because I’ve been getting Haiper to come up with some really fantastic anime stuff. Would be amazing to get the voices and lipsync to go with it. I’d like to play around with some better animations so I might try working with Runway too. Great episode!
Thank you for the compliments and yes, that workflow is super cool to look through. It's semi-complicated for uber normies but not *that* hard to follow.
@@AIForHumansShow as someone with the relative capabilities of a normie I went through it and every step was as smooth as butter. Except for running Aniportrait lol. Couldn’t get it to do a test run off of the Replicate page so I’m going to try and run it locally on Windows. So my understanding is that I’m going to need to create a Python environment, install the requirements with pip install, grab ffmpeg, check Pytorch for the install command, download the hugging face weights, and figure out which commands to run. I just happen to be obsessed enough with ai to work through it (this thing looks awesome) but I’m betting your average normie would get lost somewhere in there xD I’m also not entirely sure I have the GPU requirements (9 year old gaming pc) but I’m going to give it a shot! When AGI takes over I hope our robot overlords remember my enthusiasm
One thing that I'm starting to question hearing (from this podcast but many others reporting on AI as well) is the idea that "this is the worst it'll ever be". Understand the sentiment and excitement but want to challenge that. There are many cases where AI has gotten worse (and seems to not be getting better. Grok being an example). Maybe the guardrails placed on are artificial in making them worse but I guess my point is maybe it's not. Maybe certain things as we expand on what their capabilities are will not advance in the forward progress that's assumed. Just starting to think it's a phrase that continuously promises too much but curious on your thoughts. (Edit) This is one of the best interviews you've had on the show. Pinnacle combination of interesting, exclusive, informative, dynamic, and meaningful to the news you're reporting on. Thanks for the hard work put in each show, each week!
First, thank you for the kind words overall! Second, totally hear you on this idea of 'getting worse' and that it's likely we're going to be fighting with what humans will allow AI to be in someways going forward. Worth re-adressing prob in the pod.
honestly, i think we might've made a mistake. we thought it was released to the website but still was a very frustrating experience not getting any links or tweets. or xeetz.
"That's the trade off", you say. Yes, it's one trade at a time I guess. by the drop, by the inch, etc. I leave this comment on the lesser watched a.i. channels, figuring it'll get more attention.
