The Bucs need to be able to beat the good playoff teams during the regular season to show they are prepared for a deep playoff run. If not we get what we got last season.
The Saints schedule is ridiculously easy. Week 8 is against St. Bartholomew School for the Blind. I thought the Buc's schedule was favorable, but Jeez Louise, the NFL gave the Saints a freakin' gift this year.
That’s the cost of being the boss as the nfc south winner. Whoever wins the division, always has the much harder schedule. Saints didn’t win division so they get a cake walk schedule which sucks bc their record might be better at one point in the season and saints fans will be bragging hardcore without ever looking at how tough our schedule actually is. We got sort of screwed this year, toughest schedule I’ve seen as a Bucs fan of over 25 years that I can remember. It’s a wildly tough schedule. NFL dropped the ball having us playing Atlanta 2 x in 3 weeks in beginning of the season. Makes no sense what they would do that smhp

Having Atlanta twice, kc, ravens, niners, right before bye is a serious gauntlet. If we can squeak out 3-3 during that stretch, mainly beating falcons at least once, twice is obv the best case scenario. So glad we get a bye and cap the season off with 2 home games.

The reason they saved the Saints game for last could probably be because the division came down to the winner between those two last season and had Tampa lost the final game I think NO would’ve won the division
At this early stage, I'm not worried about the schedule, a lot can happen... BUT... I don't think they have adequate talent at corner, and I'm skeptical of the pass rush by committee plan... and a lot rides on first time OC Liam Coen's offense... but ultimately? It comes down to Baker to Evans, Raachad picking up 1st downs, and taking advantage of opponent mistakes.

I'm not worried about the Ravens. Lamar Jackson managed to stay healthy the entire season last year. That was an outlier. I can't see that repeating itself. He takes too many tackles running around and every other year he is nursing something or misses portions of the season. It's only going to get worse as he gets older. I also think the Saints are going to have some serious issues on offense. Their O-line is suspect and Carr is not a great leader. The further away from the Brees/Payton years the Saints get, the worse their offense gets. The Falcons are a bit worrisome, and so are the obvious ones like the 49ers, Chiefs, and Lions. I'm also glad the Bucs get Jayden Daniels early, before he gets more comfortable.

NFL does not give gifts, it´s predetermined. We should be lucky to play KC, Detroit and SF cause that means we won the division.
