    Nice video, thx for sharing.
    Constructive criticism:
    For the furnaces you don't really need a splitter and combiner. Just daisychain the furnaces. You can even hook up the refinery on the same circuit. Less hassle and components that way.
    Same works for the locker (provided you'll want the same kits in every slot)
    Also, if you set up the locker your way anyone getting access to it can just drain your core of kits. So either lock it so they have to destroy the locker to get to the kits or set it up that they only get refilled if you hit a smart switch. Personally I do both: smartswitch + lock. That way I have room to put the kit away again when I don't need it anymore but if needed can call in a new one by just pushing a button on the Rust+ app.

      Thanks for the advice, that's a really good point about the furnaces. I haven't chained the furnaces together like that before because I normally play in a bigger group and we hit max depth chaining them together like that. Putting a lock on the lockers is something, I did know about, but forgot to mention, thanks for pointing that out too!

    So that’s how you get the lockers to work. Nice.

      Thanks so much! I hope you try some of these setups in your future wipes.

    I also love the 90s infomercial style video 😂 I play on console so we don't have any industrial stuff yet but this video was throughly entertaining

    You don't need splitters or combines if have less then 15 hookups....you can daisy chain from furnace to furnace to box...

      That's a great point! I normally don't do things that way because I play in a really big group, but I should have mentioned it in the video.

    If you daisy chain the furnaces and lead it in to a splitter with 3 sorters you can sort out cooked sulfur, frags, and hqm in to 3 separate boxes.

    Why is a splitter for furnaces preferable over simply daisy-chaining furnaces? Example: (Source Box) -> (Conveyor 1) -> (Furnace) -> (Furnace) -> (Furnace) -> (Conveyor 2) -> (Destination Box)

    • @ChazzeyRust
      @ChazzeyRust  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      With only three furnaces, daisy chaining works. With 15 or more furnaces, you need splitters. I like using splitters because they are cheap and it's easy to expand. Hope this helps!

      I just did a setup with 24 furnaces daisy chained without issues

  • @8oooomoooo8
    @8oooomoooo8 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    you don't need industrial splitter and combiner, you can just connect adapters on furnaces in series

    • @ChazzeyRust
      @ChazzeyRust  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are absolutely right, I definitely need to mention that in the future. I typically don't pipe things that way because my group can be pretty large some wipes.

    You can daisy chain the furnaces to each other eliminating the need for the splitter and combiners, fyi

    • @ChazzeyRust
      @ChazzeyRust  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is really good feedback, I'll be sure to pipe things that way in the future!

    Wondering what the smallest base layout you can have that's completely automated with complete sorting of comps, resources weapons, kits, smelting, refining etc, given the space required for batteries and electrical components needed

  • @kylekudrna5679
    @kylekudrna5679 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just wanted to point out your doing this the old complicated way. You don't need the splitter before the furnaces or the combiner after. You can simply go from conveyor to first furnace and then daisy chain to the last two; output of 3rd furnace to 2nd conveyor. This is definitely a way of doing it man but I wouldn't call it the best way lol

    Can I run everything you just done all off of solar panels or windmill? what size of battery? I would like to link everything together into my base like you have set up but not sure how much power this all needs or what to use on the electrical side! Awesome video.

    • @ChazzeyRust
      @ChazzeyRust  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@fitzyshow A windmill or 3-4 solar panels into a large battery would be more than enough to power all this plus some turrets. Glad you enjoyed the vid!

    Is there a reason not to daisy chain the furnaces?

  • @taurus99exe

    2:30 instead of a splitter, can't you just daisy chain the furnaces?
