Please check out her new EP. 5 crazy great songs that she completely slays. This song is pretty Epic though. It was part of a musical called First Name back in the 80s. Freddie Santos wrote the song and Gary Valenciano arranges it. This musical was revived last year in honor of Freddie Santos’ passing. Gary Valenciano rearranged this song so Morissette could sing it. It was the first time he has ever rearranged one of his songs for another artist to sing. Such a honor. Of course she nailed the song and the emotion.

I've watched this performance a lot of times and her delivery always gets me. That's how passionate Morissette is. She's gives 100% in all her performances regardless of music genre. Kindly react to her EP which she released a week ago. All 5 songs were sung live at RX Monster event. She just displayed her gift of vocal versatility. Incidentally, all 5 songs were co-written by her with her fiancé.
The lyricism in this song is so intricate and beautiful and there is something so different about singing to God than singing for yourself or people that feel so intimate and emotional and her voice is just so gorgeous and angelic it sounds like a disney princess

Thank you for your informed yet sensitive commentary. This piece is one of Mori's most emotional, spiritual, raw and moving gifts. One can feel the message coming from her heart and soul and out through her lips. I believe that the vocal track was a one take and there's another one with a one take video. You did your homework on Gary Valenciano; this performance was partly in memory of Freddie Santos, the song lyricist, who passed away last December.

This was not written by Gary V...but he did provide the musical notes. My favorite by Mori. There are so many wonderful Philippine singers. Have you heard of 4th Impact ??? They are called the "Queens of Harmony". 4 beautiful sisters who sing, dance and entertain. A recent song you should react to is "Leave the Door Open" or "Where are we now".

I concur, and admire your truthfulness. Singing is not just about performing and singing it right. Of source aside from good delivery, also the proper emotions and how you convey the story to the listeners in less than 4 minutes. A good storyteller or singer must capture the song writer’s story, and who can give justice to a song during a performance. Good job! 👍👍👍

I loved this version. I like the little tings at the beginning and end. Her Fiancee', Dave Lamar was the director. She is remarkable.
Sorry Justin I don't get goosebumps. My brain has a quirk. Where people would get chills, I cry. You can imagine how Jr. High and High School went for me. To top it off I was 5'2" tall and 112 lbs. when I graduated from H.S. I topped out at 5'4" and we won't talk about weight.
So what I'm saying is I am crying right now.
Doesn't she make you want to turn up your sound to 15? Kudos to the arranger for writing for the singer. I would say that even if had a glancing knowledge of the reason the song was written you would be in tears. I however was sobbing through the whole thing because I know the whole story and know I'm not makin' it there. Not that the opportunity isn't there, but just like with singing desire can only take so far, it's you realize that you have an essential lack of 'doing it right', in you that you can't find that last missing something that lets you accept what is there.

I broke into goosebumps like 3 different times. That was amazing! I know she's singing, but it also seems like she's having a conversation. To be honest I wasn't even thinking of how good she sounded - she obviously did - I was more drawn into her emotions and the storytelling
For those that don’t put it together she is singing a contemporary Christian praise and worship song worshiping Jesus Christ. This is explicitly and exclusively what she is doing when she is singing this song.
