16:10“ ya get the hi’s and the lows but not too high and not to low “ exactly !! A warm grind with punch and presence that locks w kick like super glue - that is THE sound !
Great bass banter!!! Really loved yawls insight into playing, building bass. Extremely entertaining to listen to a bunch of bass players talk about the business, and the tech.
I have used SVTs since 1976. I had to compromise and got an SVT 3 non pro that I have used for 30 years nonstop without any problems. Last week there was an all tube SVT and 8x10 for backline and I was in Heaven! Although mine sounds great, there’s nothing like these. Hey, anyone want to trade one of these for a 3 non pro AND a 4 pro?
Modern guitarists are mostly wimps with SVT's. Years ago they loved them. If you really want to get them going bring two cabs. 😂 I first heard about them from a guitarist I did a few gigs with, I was using a blackface Fender Dual Showman which weren't bad for the day and he mentioned SVT's which I did know about, and I asked him if they had any punch, he said "They'll knock a wall over" This was in the early 70's, bought my first used in 1975 and still use them.
Dawes on SVT Time! Yeah!

What a great sounding bass, sounds like flatwounds. It sounds just like a good EB-0.
