I just did exactly what you did in your video. Tried to repair the wheel also. No help. Then i said to the robot that i will pee on it to assert dominance, and it just started working 😂 sorry but maybe this could help someone 😂
Interesting and helpful. I want to add that there has been a noise the last month or so and now I know it was the wheel beginning to act up. The noise is exactly the same as our machine. I ordered both wheels, if one breaks, the other may too. But I want to know who's going to vacuum while we wait for the replacements?! 😱
And I want to add that I called Roborock on a Sunday and someone answered the phone. AND he was American. Will wonders never cease. He sent me the link to the replacement wheel on Aliexpress. I have an S4 and you just have to be sure and get the correct compatible wheel.
F106 error in my case, did remove the left wheel (as app details said) cleaned pcb contacts with IPA and dedust with dinosaur vacum ;-) It did the trick. Maybe dry solder joint appear with time? It cleaned 40m2 since and works but it might come back. Motor spins so I doubt it is burned/or was/. Strange.
@@KSToh Thanks for the answer, I tried it, but I am afraid it is not. The wheels are not tied with 3 screws, but with a small metalic bar, not sure how to access it.
The error message itself tells you which wheel is having problems. When you go Aliexpress, the listing will show whether the wheel is for S5, S6 etc. To confirm, you can take a look at your wheel and see if the picture matches the listing.
@@KSToh Thanks for answering! I have the 1st gen Roborock which doesn't tell which wheel. I'm going with the one that seems harder to turn by hand. With the right search term ("1 gen" needs to be in it) I was finally able to find the right wheel.
I contacted Roborock and was told the internal error may be something other than the wheels. I'm clarifying where the unit needs to be sent for repair. If it's in China, that's obviously not cost effective to ship there for repairs.
Nice video and very helpful. straight forward video... now I am confidence to replace the wheel by myself. Thank you. :):)
Nice. Please subscribe.
Yeah. Me to! Thanks for the video!!
Why did the wheel needed replacement? Did the motor brushes decayed? What was the problem?
No idea. I just changed the entire wheel.
@@KSToh can you please try to disassemble the faulty wheel? It would be the first on the internet.
@@natureenthusiast660I did but I did not know how to assemble it back. 😂. Furthest I went to was to change the spring.
@@natureenthusiast660 I disassembled it, greased it and put it back together, the error persists. It's not just a mechanical error

Cool. As long as it works!

Do you have a link for the wheel replacement, or remember where you bought the wheel from? I am having trouble finding one. Thanks!
There should be a link in the description of my video.
@@KSToh Will you be able to provide again? I don't see a link.

Nice that it worked for you.
Perfect! Showed me how to disassemble my robot and clean the wheel. Of course still have the problem so need to order another wheel. Thanks!

I wonder what is the root cause. "Open circuit" is supposed to be the reason.., what ever that means
I am clueless. Please subscribe.
Thank you. My robot had eaten my bath-shorts, so I needed to open it up to get them back.
Are you serious?
Thanks, this is great. What about S6 Pure? The wheels are not tied with 3 screws
S6 Pure should be the same but I am not 100% certain.

How do I know which wheel to replace? And does anyone know which wheel to buy for the very first Rockrobo vacuum cleaner?

Any idea what would be the cause if the ODO error persists after wheel replacement?
No idea. Unless you changed the wrong wheel or both wheels spoilt?

Hi. According your suggestion, I replace left and right wheel. Unfortunately I get the same communication. Do you have any proposal to do?
What error message did you get and which wheel did you replace?
I replaced both wheels and i get the same information.
@@XRedu_gameswhat is the errror message you got?
My suggestion is only to replace the wheel that is spoilt. Not both. Not necessary.
Ok, buy again wheel according your suggestion, and we will see. Thanks
