Answer is very Difficult. Much like Johnny, all his combos are matchup specific but with Answer, there is less of a payoff outside of being mad stylish.
Answer isn't that rare anymore I'd say. He requires a shit ton of effort to play him effectively and win. Match-up spread is poor. There's a ton of counterplay to him revolving around blitz, IBs, DPs and a combination of those. I also find jump outs to be good versus him. If you absolutely adore him and are willing to put in the time, go for it. But I don't think it's really worth it. He's insanely fun though and is super creative. Answer will teach you good strike/throw basics and also setplay. Playing him will force you to get good at varying offense and making reads because of his weaknesses. Or you could just pick some gorilla shit and win.
Super true about Venom difficulty. He has a few difficult things to learn at the start (specially if you dislike charge characters), and then everything kind of falls into place it's just decision-making. I'm looking forward to get back into Venom, Dizzy and Raven.
Kizzie Kay already accidentally did this a few years ago with his "real" tier list where he jokingly swapped most of the characters tiers around based on how good they are.
Dizzy's basic combo and setups are very intuitive (stuff into 2D or Ice Spike, proceed to summon fish or spears), but I agree that after that it gets trickier, with the need to get down the timing for bubble TKs, her poor defensive capabilities, and just how quick and unpredictable you need to be to keep your opponent guessing, because she's not one of the game's hard hitters and her mix-up is kinda "fake" compared to other characters (she prefers to go for meaties, cross-ups, frame traps and tick throws, and fortunately she gets access to hard knockdowns from her throw combos). The fire dagger BnB is also finnicky enough that, as a beginner, I prefer to go for 6[H] after the RRC instead. Dunnno if I'd say that Jam is easy. Yeah, knockdown into card and all that, but you also have to contend with no disjoints and little range, which makes neutral kind of unintuitive. I dunno, I'd put her up a tier.
As someone who picked Venom to learn when Rollback was announced, He's difficult because of the situational awareness that he requires but mechanically is not that hard to play unless you're going for optimal combos all the time

Okay so I think at the moment I'm torn between Leo, Jam, Ky, Sin, and Chipp. Kind of goes to show that sometimes the "easy" characters are still the really fun ones to play. lol But yeah I'm finally getting part of the complaints some people had going from Xrd from Strive. And leaving aside the whole "old game good, new game bad" I get the frustration at Characters getting like half their kit stripped away in the name of streamlining the game. I'm seeing some of the stuff Chipp and Ky have at their disposal in Xrd and its crazy.
Inno. back in the days, in GG XX Reload was the hardest character in the game (yes, harder then Eddie (Zato-1. but called Eddie)). She used to have the most complicated combos in the game because of the input. To test her out, try to do Chemical Love frc CL frc ... etc on the full meter. She is hard to manage with that inputs :) I don't play Johnny or Inno in Xrd (played Slayer and Venom), but i think with Venom and Inno until you will not get at least some +- ok level of understanding of how to play them and get some combos, you will be super counter productive with that and get absolutely whooped. Johnny has at least some damage from his normals, and you can at least hit somebody with it and on the very beginning level you KINDA can mash something (?? Probably not, but at least do something) out. You can't do that with Inno, or Venom. You have to know this characters. All of that was related to the Reload again, (except of Venom, because i played him) But so far, the list is very accurate. Thank you!
heh, would have been nice to know this before picking the game. I mean, It's not like I will give up but had I know that, I would have probably gone for strive. I just want to have chill matches agains the AI. Maybe at the level I want to play, any of the two is ok?
He says Leo is easy but I could disagree with him with so much stuff, his pressure is hard and risky, his run through is like what 45 frames, he has no damage and his fireball is borderline useless, also he has the worst 6p in the game. This guy whats his name Sajam yeah Sajam should just go back to blazblue dark war fr.

Let me admit first I haven't played either and barely played strive Venom is easily who I'd play in +r or rev but he seems really challenging. However... I think this is how he looks to new players because I know I at least get overwhelmed by like, do I have to memorize all these patterns for calling balls? But.. I think you actually don't maybe? You're not normally calling that many and if you are they don't need to be so flawlessly placed that the pattern matters? I play in pad and charge characters are just impossible for me
Leo doesn’t need charge for combos.
eh chipp jump install stuff can be quite hard
Completely agree my Brother. They're tough, specially off certain Hit Confirms. The thing too is that you are forced to learn Jump install to play the Char Optimally.
I think imma still play Leo. He is similar but different with the Gatling system in Rev 2 than Strive but I'ma represent him in both games I think I can adapt. A little different but manageable.
How easy is it to pick up ACR
Not easy lol
Jiyuna fell for the "Venom is difficult" meme oh no, Venom only needs one setup the character is easy as fuck lol
His damage scales with how hard his combos are. And easy ass combo won't get you much, but a hard ass combo can let you take 50%
@@notimeforcreativenamesjust3034 No? Venom is a low damage character no matter what, you don't have to learn many combos with him, he's got like 3 BnBs that you do on basically every character. The only time Venom is doing 50% of your health is when he does meaty Dark Angel in the corner and takes 50% of your health in chip
@@NeoBoneGirl No?
@@TheNobleFive There aren't many Venom combos, definitely aren't many hard Venom combos, and certainly aren't any hard Venom combos you HAVE to learn because they do 50%
Easy to learn hard to master imo, imagine my shock after playing +R Venom and how different he is
Spent the last like week labbing Johnny vs sol, only to try the same stuff on sin,jam and answer(the characters my friends will be playing) and my shit dont work. Pain, to slayer I go
Bridal Expressuh!!!
Okay so I think at the moment I'm torn between Leo, Jam, Ky, Sin, and Chipp. Kind of goes to show that sometimes the "easy" characters are still the really fun ones to play. lol
But yeah I'm finally getting part of the complaints some people had going from Xrd from Strive. And leaving aside the whole "old game good, new game bad" I get the frustration at Characters getting like half their kit stripped away in the name of streamlining the game. I'm seeing some of the stuff Chipp and Ky have at their disposal in Xrd and its crazy.
ram from rev 2 to strive is criminal, even if she's stronger for it in strive.
@@Zytyx13 From cool character to resident sleeper.
I'd say that
answer is very difficult or at least difficult
ramlethal very difficult
slayer difficult
bedman difficult or normal
its kind of surprising how many characters are easy to pick up
Comparatively easy, they’re still harder than a Strive/SF character.
All characters I want to play are strive tier lmao
Hot take, raven is braindead easy to pick up but is one of the harder characters to master now
U already know who I play😎😎😎😎😎
Inno. back in the days, in GG XX Reload was the hardest character in the game (yes, harder then Eddie (Zato-1. but called Eddie)). She used to have the most complicated combos in the game because of the input. To test her out, try to do Chemical Love frc CL frc ... etc on the full meter. She is hard to manage with that inputs :)
I don't play Johnny or Inno in Xrd (played Slayer and Venom), but i think with Venom and Inno until you will not get at least some +- ok level of understanding of how to play them and get some combos, you will be super counter productive with that and get absolutely whooped. Johnny has at least some damage from his normals, and you can at least hit somebody with it and on the very beginning level you KINDA can mash something (?? Probably not, but at least do something) out. You can't do that with Inno, or Venom. You have to know this characters. All of that was related to the Reload again, (except of Venom, because i played him)
But so far, the list is very accurate. Thank you!
picking johnny so i can blame my losses on using a super hard and convoluted character
That's the strat.
starting with johnny kek
I don't care, I'm going to pick Venom and I'm happily going to get my ass handed to me nonstop. That guy's just too fun to play
ahh so this is why "say no to tierlist" video was taken down
It's still up?
I don't understand your criteria, tbh.
Xrd: the game where the easiest characters in this game are still gonna be considered hard mode compared to strive lmao
Jack-o tho
@@notimeforcreativenamesjust3034 what about that brain dead cringe fest?
As a Faust main in both games, he's mad easy in Xrd compared to Strive
@@NickJJU that's actually hilarious, nice joke man
Johnny isn't that hard, also, u can do good things with venom's basics
If i can corner pressure someone just once during a match playing Venom? Im happy. let me win a round? I'm celebrating. Let me win the set? It's over
heh, would have been nice to know this before picking the game. I mean, It's not like I will give up but had I know that, I would have probably gone for strive. I just want to have chill matches agains the AI. Maybe at the level I want to play, any of the two is ok?
Play who you like!
Give Millia her pin back now ugh 😑
I see you putting three waifus in the thumbnail, not bad.
I main i-no in strive so I’ll just play I-no
Yo wtf Gouken in Guilty Gear
I'll play Venom and Zato anyway.
Answer is very hard
Strive is better becouse Axl is not wearing shorts and a british flag hanging on the sides
dizzy is bae
Put pot in strive tier or I riot
Jack-o is a way, way harder.
Her minions ruins her combos if you spawn them wrong.
🦍
If you are new Baiken is not easy 💀
Why is every cool character so hard to play T_T lol
Cool characters are cool BECAUSE they're hard to play. Gen from SF4, Venom/Johnny from Xrd
@@weirdo911aw Yeah. I've learned milia in strive as a first character, and im still on copium that she can somewhat work... but getting used to her in xrd is another thing. pin is weird and really core. Yellow RC in this game are more like blue rc in strive... etc etc. i've got tons of stuff to learn still. I kinda like the struggle bus but god damned... i wish i could pick something braindead like leo and enjoy it but I just can't lol.
@@Drawfill the training arc begins. it'll be worth it in the long run. i play a gorilla tho (jam)
Leo is easy.
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI Yes thats what I said, I said I wish i could pick someone braindead like leo and enjoy it but I can't lol.
They're all hard just play Raven:]
you forgot about axl other downside that being that fella drip is wack as hell
Jorts
The jorts are fire what are you talking about
@@H2A_23 dude looks like a lame pirate from the waste down it aint clean at all. i can understand wanting to show off your calves but bruh aint no way i was leaving home looking like that
XRD Ky is acutally easier than Strive Ky wtf bro
He really is though 😂
Venom ain't that hard. Only hard part is when you hit a ball and none of them go where you need to go lmao. But I'm no pro so I'm not good with timing/positioning for hitting the ball to know the trajectory
1st
Xrd Rev 2 Tier list.
Bring Dizzy into Strive
She's definitely getting added eventually.
Let me admit first I haven't played either and barely played strive
Venom is easily who I'd play in +r or rev but he seems really challenging. However... I think this is how he looks to new players because I know I at least get overwhelmed by like, do I have to memorize all these patterns for calling balls? But.. I think you actually don't maybe? You're not normally calling that many and if you are they don't need to be so flawlessly placed that the pattern matters? Truly guessing lmao, but if people overhyped his difficulty like this video says, it makes sense to me.
I play faust in xrd, xx, and strive. xx and xrd are just flavors of the same shit. Strive Faust is so neutered and different that he doesn't even really feel like the same character so I never get mixed up. After this rollback update I have absolutely no reason to ever boot up strive again.
