Actually they did not even show the photo of mahaveer Singh who died here during hunger strike. Actually they are not fully aware about freedom fighters they only read the books and then make videos on them, That's why they only take the name of that freedom fighters who wrote About their experience in this jail

I watched their many videos about history they only picked up the content from books, Most Punjabi freedom fighters did not write books, in this episode they took content from Savarkar's and Sachinder sanyal books About this jail and letter written by dutt. He even writes some lines on the screen from these books , Sachinder sanyal who got 2 times kale Pani jail one time as a member of Gadar party and second time as a founder of HRA party he wrote famous Book bandhi jiveen, and that time krantikari read this book like a religious book

Veer savarkar was in jail from 1911 to 1924 and then from 1924 to 1937 was under house arrest in ratnagiri. Finally he was released in 1937.

They were not booked under criminal charges. They all were political prisoners.

British needed passive political leaders of Indian origin, who were loyal to the British crown. These leaders were supposed to keep the population non-violent and discouraging them from open revolt.
While everyone else who wanted to throw away the British were jailed, torture, murdered or hanged.

Majority of kaala pani prisoners were from panjabi sikhs there were 93 sikhs who got life sentences in the jail whereas total number was around120
Sorry to inform you that bengoli prisoners was majority in numbers, before 3 months i visited cellular jail there are stone plates , on which prisoners name written, state wise, and Bengal along with punjab is the states from where majority number of prisoners sent for kalapani. anyway I respects fighting and struggling attitude of punjabis. They given lot of sacrifices for nation.

He didn't bring Religion to politics, it was Gandhi who jumped to Khilafat to bring Muslims to Congress fold and went Mum on Muppla (Kerala) mascara during Khilafat.
