These vehicles are required urgently to save soldiers lives. Don't know why this has been post ponded for so long. Loosing a trained soldier like a sitting duck is a catastrophy.
Your recommendation is something very important n our military high ups should consider this at their earliest. Lots of troops have lost their lives due to IED explosions in Baluchistan n Northern Waziristan which otherwise could have been avoided. Budget should not be a constraint in exchange of precious lives that we could have saved by providing our troops safe mobility in high risk areas.
100% agree if pak army uses APCs so we can prevent our highly trained soldier's life. If they are limited in numbers then we have to use simple trucks and jeebs inside cites where chances of IED blast are less as compared to rural areas. After our recent heavy casualties, I was astonished to know that IED proof vehicles are not used by our security personnel in Baluchistan and KPK, why is Army ignoring this vital requirement???
Clearly in order to win war on terror in Balouchistan and NWFP we need these vehicles urgently so that soldiers can be given more support in real time combat to survive and respond effectively, specifically to counter element of surprise, compelling enemies to come out of den and down the mountains to conduct their ambush.
