The International 5130B (7'8" 130lb) comes with a Stuart detachable bent butt and can be removed so that a straight butt can be added. PENN does not offer this model with a straight butt but a Stuart straight but can be found on line (Mudhole) or just about any tackle shop or custom rod shop.
@heyboy96 We aren't sure. If you are on facebook you could write on George Poveromo's wall. He is always checking it and might be able to tell you if he remembers.

+Deuce Duffield Typically a retailer or one of our field marketing reps will identify pro staffers for us. We look for saltwater anglers who are active in their local community with strong ties to a retailer and local media outlets, people who can help the retailer drive business in the area and are able to demonstrate influence over consumer and retail buyer purchase behavior. Currently our pro staff consists of elite charter captains, successful tournament anglers and media personalities like George Poveromo.
@shwedishh Down here we fish in 1400 to 2000 ft all the way to the bottom. The current is usually ripping at over 3 knots so you have to use over 15 lbs of weight to reach bottom, with a manual rig you can prob drop two or three times in one day, where as with an electric reel you can drop as many times as you want. Trust me when you spend 120 bucks on gas and 40 bucks on bait, not to count your braid line, rod and reel, you want to be able to drop more than 2 times.
When you put it like that I can better appreciate an electric reel. 1400 to 2000 feet with 15lb o weight, yes I’d be looking for the electric. The depth we used to fish was ONLY about 250 to 300 feet plus snapper sinkers were 2 to 4 lb depending on the run. 😧🎣🚣♂️
Lmao!!! Ive been swordfishing in South Florida and Cuba since I was 3 years old!!!! I think I know what I am talking about. You apparently never fished in South Florida or the Keys were the current can be in excess of 3 knots... I got a Tiagra 80w spooled to the top with 65lb braid ready for ya, see how many times you can drop to 2000ft.
George i remember seen you on magazine with a monster wahoo beside you with the message it is hooking a mack truck going down the road no sport in using electric fishing reel if you gate fishing then do not fish

Max drag for the 130VSX at "Strike" is 80 pounds, and max drag at "Full" is 100 pounds; more than enough for your needs.
