I've applied for English Literature at Durham, it's such a tense wait for offers as they give out the majority after January! Loved watching this vlog, it's so helpful to hear advice from current students. Best of luck for this year! X
Don't worry if you don't receive your offer for a little while - I didn't get mine until the end of March as I'd been pulled from the college I applied to and given a place at a much better one! Good luck :)

I'm a 2nd year engineering student at Durham University and it's definitely appropriate to vlog here 😂 I was going to make a fresher's video last year but it was too crazy..., and like you, I suffered from achieving absolutely nothing in fresher's week apart from getting the flu! Great video mate 👍

So jack, the first vide we ever watched of yours was your room tour back at your home. It's lovely to see that you've still got some of those things from your home bedroom in your new room. However we don't see that black egg timer you had. We loved that! Saw one at TK Max but it was far to small. Did you bring it up with you?
Also we did the same with the house plant sale! Got loads for the cafe we work at near the cathedral. Also don't be worried about Vlogging in Durham because it's not even a thing, most people will think your just a tourist . . . You'll soon know exactly what we mean haha. Super pleased your enjoying Durham. Feel free to pop in to Cafédral for a free coffee on us! It's the one wth the blue door and blur church pews outside. We work Monday to Friday so come then. Not in for the next two weeks though. Haha!
Also, don't get too drunk at Fabios or osbournes now haha!

Jack Edwards hey Jack, I’ll be going to university this fall, just wanted to know if this room is college accommodation or a private one ? I’m actually conflicted with the idea of which option should I be opting for .
@@gayatrichatterjee174 I think the uni require all freshers to live in college accommodation, this is also the best way to settle in and make friends. As for this room, its part of St Cuthberts society college :)

I'm planning on filming vlogs and videos for my college but don't know if it is "socially acceptable either" and am lowkey terrified of coming off as egotistical or social media obsessed. I want to represent the queer community in higher education whilst filming my college experience.

I think what I said about tuition fees was very poorly worded - I have a student loan and a maintenance loan but my parents are paying for my accommodation :)
